BigBizkit
FYI, this thread is marked as "answered", which it clearly is not. This issue needs visibility.Admins and the OP can mark it as answered, which I believe must have happened by mistake. I marked it as unanswered again. starwyrm1597
Vortex is for newbies which I am so I use it. If a mod has dirty edits, just don't use it. Even following this philosophy I spend 95 percent of my time installing and uninstalling mods and starting the game over and 5 percent playing it, I can't imagine how long it would take if I actually tried to edit them. VulcanTourist
Vortex is for newbies....I'd be more inclined to assign you credibility for this statement if you had provided nonsubjective supporting information. It's not for newbies. It's an alternative for people who find that the methodology of Mod Organizer interferes with their workflow, their desired way of doing things. IUf a mod has dirty edits, just give it a quick run through Xedit to clean it and you're done. But read the mod description page first, it might contain dirty edits you're not supposed to clean. treebomber
Started up vortex to manage a different game (BG3) and it borked who knows how many of my Skyrim ESPs without even asking, no backup files in the data folder. I see no reason for anyone to use this dogshit mod manager over just installing mods manually. What a joke

What a jokeNot sure why you chose to nerco an old thread for this but what you described simply cannot be caused by Vortex. If it wasn't even open it would have to be something else that messed up the load order.
