a) Purge is not a destructive operation, clicking it accidentally doesn't cause any damage except that the next deployment takes longer.

b) There is a confirmation dialog

You were clumsy, overreacted, blame others for your mistakes and insulted the user who tried to help you.

Good job.

As 1ae0bfb8 has told you, you do not have to reinstall mods after purge. Just click deploy and you're good to go. I use purge all the time with my SkyrimSE with upward of 150 mods and have yet to have to reinstall one mod because of purge. Please read the Vortex tutorial on purge and deploy.

I understand your angry, but you need to put that aside and find out what purge actually does and you''ll see that it does not require a reinstall of mods.

3rd time purge Mod's has KILLED ME

4am any one can get clicky , and it right next to the deploy all mods key OPPPS your f***ed all your mods are Removes out of order and n ow you have to spend a day reinstalling 200 mods and sorting them WOOOT HAPPY DAYS!

so arefgegfvesgveswgfvewsgv right now

-OR- you could've just selected all of your mods with CTRL+A and hit DEPLOY, and the Hardlinks would've been RESTORED in all of their Installed and Sorted Glory within a couple of minutes.

PURGE is a non-destructive action, and all it does is sever the hardlinks between the actual installed mods in the mod staging folder and the links in the Data folder, meaning YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REINSTALL ANYTHING BECAUSE THE MODS ARE STILL INSTALLED, you would've known that if you bothered to RTFM.

I picture the Purge Function like a drawbridge (I took the time out to draw it up)

Wait am I doing something wrong, you guys are telling the OP to control A and then deploy? I never do a control A after a purge to redeploy and all my mods seem to deploy fine, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

You are fine. "Deploy" deploys all enabled mods. Purge does not affect the enabled status.

Thanks, I was pretty sure I correct on this because I don't have problems with deploying mods after a purge but you never know when you're missing some detail that might be helpful.

My bad, I thought you could Re-deploy mods one at a time (Which would be EXTREMELY handy in troubleshooting), so I assumed you had to CTRL+A to select all of them

HadToRegister, I was just thinking a week or so ago about posting to ask if purging and re-deploying one mod at time could be added as feature. I wonder if it's possible?
