when you go over a button all of it lights orange

but unless you press with the mouse inside the triangle or the 3 dots its a dead click

 

it reminds me a lot this one

 

 

the 4th one is a 2min paint job

where all of it is clickable and not dead space and the area with the 3 dots is to configure it

If you make the whole area clickable, how are you going to choose between the 3 dots and the PLAY button?

That's the point, the entire box lights up to show you which one you're mousing over.

If you notice, the 3 dots and the play button also highlight when you mouse over them, so I'm not sure why you think this is a flaw?

It's SUPPOSED to be Dead Space, otherwise you'd be clicking the 3 dots AND the Play button at the same time

May be just my personal preference but I'd rather have a button be harder to hit and do nothing if it misses than have it easy to hit but do something you didn't want to do if you miss.

 

Let's say the entire area was to start the tool and only the ... button would trigger the menu. How annoying would it be if you try to open the menu to remove a tool and instead the tool gets started and you have for it to load and close it before you can remove it?

thats why my button has the grey area and that only is the dead area of the button

vs the current design that has over 90%(insert over 9000 meme) dead area lol

and left of that grey area is play and right is the 3 dots

bigger useability vs current one

 

all of the right area is clickable to configure the button vs the current misculine 3 dots

and all of the left of grey area is the play button

and i think also many use somewhat similar to wt i said

 

youtube first you dont have to click only the 3 dots
rest are from nvidia amd google webtoons and nexus
you dont show button and have only less than 10% usable like ever (i cant find anything else)
