Download system overhauled on site and in NMM

After the update for NMM, I downloaded an update for a mod which failed so I downloaded again but this time it said 'server busy or unavailable, retrying' and then an error. It happens every time now so I can't download that file :(

Also it takes much longer to download now, I used to get 200-300kb a sec but now its just 10-13kb a sec.

I'm not able to download anything manually or with NMM, it's been saying that the site is unavailable. I've restarted my PC, updated NMM, etc. Any clues?

Iss NMM ever going to understand that diferent files on the same page can have different version numbers?

having the same problem i been trying to download mods from NMM and get and Error unable to download file tried the other way and i get this Server error

HTTP Error 503 (Service Unavailable): The server is currently unable to handle the request. This code indicates this is a temporary condition, and the server will be up again after a delay. it was working fine guys b4 u put this new update for it can we have the old NMM back plz becuz i cant download anything

great after updating the mod manager im unable to download any files using mod manager i have tried downloading 5 different mods but same result within 1 minutes it says unable to download the file even after trying downloading again it says server busy retrying 1/10, 2/10 it doesn't download a thing. i never used to have problem with previous version of manager atleast frequency was very less in previous version and also 2nd time it used to work but not now.

please tell me what to do.

I tested the download system by downloading a mod in the old version, then updating and downloading the same mod again, download speed is dramatically lower now, here in Australia down to about 100-200kbps (single file), where I would normally get 500kbps from these servers.

Did you check if the real speed is being reported? The new version seems to be a bit unreliable (and slow) in updating the reported speed (we're looking into that); you can check by looking at the "Downloaded/Size" counter. Edited October 16, 2012 by DuskDweller

yeah i agree with u firefreak i used to get 700-850 kbps speed now im getting 150-350 kbps speed only for a minute or so after that manger automatically cancels the download. i hope nexus team will solve that in comming days

Yep, the size is increasing by about 100-200kb every second.

Over the past months many users have noted issues with download manager, and I suspect, like me, they simply gave up with it. I just use the manual install now, way easier.
