We're monitoring the situation and taking on reports of slower download speeds. It's not our intention to gimp the normal download service at all, the problem has been that actually stress testing the service is impossible until we release the code for everyone to use. Up until now we've been testing with just a handful of people, now we've got millions of people downloading we can monitor and tweak things more extensively. We'll get it right, it'll just take a bit of time.

If you actually want to be helpful and get things improved faster rather than just complaining there's a few of things you can do:

(1) Tell us what you're downloading (what files, and how many at the same time) and at what time you've tried to download them (give your timezone as well!)

(2) Tell us the speeds you're getting now per file, and in total (the total is at the bottom of NMM). Give a REALISTIC estimate of what you typically got before.

(3) If you're getting any errors, tell us what those errors are, and on what files. Can you repeat it (so it's a constant error over the course of 10-15 mins) or does it go away after several attempts? The former suggests a real problem, the latter suggests the servers are overloaded

We'll get it right in the end.

Well, I've noticed that during download testing for my Skyrim mods, I can download Immersive Armors (latest version, around 400 megs) through the manager at about 120 kbps, but if I download manually I nearly get 800 kbps. Any mod in fact, that is over 15 megs I have that problem with. Download speeds for one file at a time are 3-4x higher manually than with the manager. Almost like the nexus servers are capping lower and lower because the file is so huge.

As for errors, many times I get a "File not Found" error about 20% through the download of any mods greater than 50mb consistently. I may be able to get lucky and download half of the file, then it just stops and says it is unable to continue downloading. The easier alternative is manual downloading, where I may have issues downloading those same files once, but then it works perfectly fine.

I'm not complaining, but I do want to help and get it resolved. NMM lately, as FYI said a few comments ago, is best used with the manual download, because the Download with Manager option has been extremely buggy and odd for the past few months or so.

I've posted on the Forums, but I cannot launch the NMM without being online now? What gives...? It crashes every single time unless I'm online...

I'm serving in Afghanistan and we are only allowed 120MB a DAY on our FOB! so I still have to get all my paperwork send each day on our movements as well... So being online for long periods of time is not an option for us out here... Please can you fix it so we do not have to be online to launch the NMM... It is increasingly frustrating that things are going more and more online only, I don't want to have to stop playing things that keep me calm because the internet is so bad out here... Cheers...

Can you please fix this so it works offline? Right now I don't have constant internet access and it's annoying not being able to configure my mods. :*(

I'm assuming this was unintentional, if it was intentional we have a pretty big problem here, I'll complain about that later if I need to though. -.-
