Vortex will not download files from nexus - says it is "premium only" feature.

Running Vortex 0.13.1, windows 7 ultimate, 16GB ram, intel core i5 3.6GHz CPU, Geforce GTX 1050TI graphics card.

 

When I attempt to download any mods from the nexus website using vortex, they fail and I get the following message:

 

"message: You don't have permission to get download links from the API without visting nexusmods.com - this is for premium users only.
url: https://api.nexusmods.com/v1/games/{gameId}/mods/{modId}/files/{fileId}/download_link"

 

 

Edit: I have tried downloading mods through chrome and firefox, and signed out of both the website and app, closing the app, restarting it and logging back in. Still getting the same error message.

You should update Vortex from 0.13.1 to 1.0.5

There was no option to check for updates. I uninstalled and ran the installer again, and am now running on 1.0.5

I assume it now works in 1.0.5? You had a very early experimental build of Vortex before.
