Vortex Locks-up when attempting to manage or activate a game

Grim Dawn isn't showing up in the supported list. It showed up in discovered and now in managed.

Both games I had installed (Grim Dawn and Pillars of Eternity Deadfire), are GOG games.

Maybe that is the problem??

I'm thinking that's exactly the problem.

The Extension may have only been written for the Steam Versions in mind, and the paths are probably differennt.

So, with the games showing up in Discovered and Managed, if you click on + sign in the corner of each game, and pick Show Details, do the paths to the games look correct to you?

That's the problem. I installed one of my Steam Games (Skyrim SE) and it worked fine.

I guess Vortex doesn't like GOG.

What now?

Vortex works with some gog games, I use it for the Gog version of Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3.

I'm guessing it might be the Extension is having a problem with it.

You aren't running Vortex as an Administrator are you?

Note: GOG changes the executable names of some games.

You can get around this by copying the GOG executable to the same directory with the name Vortex expects.

I would give an example - but I don't remember which one I did this for...

In general, game path will not matter - but the executable name will.
