I installed the Vortex Mod manager thinking this would be the safest way to add Mods to my NMS game. But apparently, it didn't sit well with there latest update. I cannot build anything at all. I disabled all the Mods and tried to reinstall the game, but no change. I then removed all the mods from Vortex, then reinstalled the game nad no change. Then I uninstalled Vortex and reinstalled the game, and no change. I contacted Hello Games and they told me to uninstall the mods and reinstall the game. That also didn't help. I am looking for a fix, please help. I can provide copies of files if needed. Thanks

Try going to

installfolder\gamedata\pcbanks\mods\

 

If it contains a file called "ENABLEMODS.TXT", rename it to "DISABLEMODS.TXT" and try starting the game again.

 

Changing that file should prevent any mod files from loading. If the game still doesn't launch it's an incompatibility between your PC and the latest update.

I went to that section of files and the file name was already DISABLEMODS. I'm open to any suggestion still, thanks

If the file was already named DISABLEMODS, then that is WHY your mods aren't working.

 

He told you to rename to DISABLEMODS in order to see if the game works WITHOUT mods.

So name it to ENABLEMODS.txt
