Jambo11 Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 ...moving a mod in the load order was as simple as dragging it to where you wanted it to go? Now, with Vortex, the same action says that it will load last, but it still shows the same load number. Seriously, all I wanted to do was move a scrapping mod to end of the load order, but doing so with the new mod manager is needlessly confounding.
rmm200 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 1) Go to Plugin tab2) Double click your scrapping mod plugin3) Set Group "Dynamic Patch". There is also a "Scrap Everything" group; that might work too.4) Click Sort Now.5) Done. It really is not that hard...

Stick to NMM, you don't need Vortex.

Stick to NMM, you don't need Vortex. I imagine some people just want to download mods, install them, and have Vortex sort their load order for them, and play, instead of making a mess of it, or overwriting the wrong textures, meshes, etc, like NMM allows you to do. With Vortex, when you install mods, you don't have to install them in a certain order to get Mod A's textures to overwrite Mod B's textures. You can install them in any order, then afterwards you can tell vortex to load Mod A BEFORE or AFTER Mod B, With NMM, you have to uninstall BOTH mods, and reinstall them again. I guess some people prefer the "Ignorance is bliss" route, where NMM allows them to make a complete unworkable, and CTD causing mess of their load order, rather than being notified that they have mod or plugin conflicts. To each their own, but so far I've found that the people who hate Vortex the most, either 1. Have never used it2. Try to force it to be NMM3. Are incapable of following directions, tutorials, or watching a video
rmm200 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 More people seem to learn from watching video tutorials than from words on a page.In a service economy, I guess reading comprehension is not a thing anymore.

rmm200 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Oh Lordy - you quote from "Confessions" too...I impress easy - and you are over-loading me.
Jambo11 Posted November 23, 2019 Author Posted November 23, 2019 It's literally the same thing. How so? Dragging a plugin to where I want it in Vortex doesn't move it in the load order, like it would with NMM.
