mewarmonger
It says I'm using a newer version of Skyrim than SKSE64 was designed for? I wasn't having this problem yesterday. Did they update the game today?

mewarmonger
Well that would explain why my internet has been wonky all day. I thought it was a microsoft update. I wasn't even signed into Steam. I wasn't aware they could update my stuff without me even being logged in. That's really irritating. lol

Colinpark
There is a newer version of SKSE than I was using, 2.0.17, is this the updated version for the game update? I tried it and Skyrim is caught in a perpetual loop trying to open.
MikeMoss
I tried the new version as well but it wouldn't load when I tried to start it.Took me an hour to get back to where I was restoring the game files and putting my resolution back to normal. mewarmonger
So, the new SKSE is out, and now it says the Racemenu needs to be updated. Is there a website where they announce the updates of the most important mods? And MikeMoss, this will tell you how to open the Steam Console. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19658 Edited November 21, 2019 by mewarmonger
LeddBate
I strongly recommend using Skyrim exe Auto-backup. You can just keep playing with the previous Skyrim executable file until SKSE and everything else you need is updated and functioning. It really is easy to use. You install it like most mods (I simply installed via Vortex) and when Skyrim updates, simply fish out the Skyrim executable it saved and replace the new one with it. Btw, save the new executable in a convenient folder. You'll need it later when everything seems to be updated and functioning properly (which you can usually find out here in the forums.) Simply replace the old executable with the newer one and you'll be good to go.
