cossayos
Here's something people can do while waiting for F4SE and SKSE64 to update. For Fallout 4, download and install Fallout4.exe Auto-Backup so the next time Fallout 4 updates, and you run Fallout 4, the mod automatically backs up your most recent Fallout4.exe, which allows you to restore the Fallout4.exe from a backup folder, and continue playing with the current version of F4SE and all of the mods that work with it, until F4SE and all the mods that depend on it are updated. That's no longer sufficient, since you need the esm and the Interface.ba2 also.
Virde
It looks like F4SE and just about every mod that needs updating has updated (LooksMenu, Place Everywhere, Extended Dialogue, McM, etc.). It probably helps that Bethesda had a countdown within the game that the update was coming this time. The updates came out faster than normal. MadRooky
what keeps you coming back to FO4? Are you waiting for some of the giant mods like FO4 New vegas or Miami to drop? What keeps you invested in a 4 year old game? The huge ammount of mods that help creating a "new" game again. Exploring creations from people and combine them in a mod list is also somehow enjoyable. It is like a game itself bringing all that cool stuff together and make it work. I have about 300 mods in my list now and i dont feel like it is enough. During the last weeks i had some free time where i actually learned to manage this stuff and make own little patches with fo4edit, and i think i only spend about 1/3 of the time actually playing the game... And when i see how bad Bethesda is treats the "MP Addon" of FO4 and the Fans of the game, while still many mods are coming the game does not feel like 4 years old. It gets refreshments again and again. And i love the community for that. It remembers me what happened to the Battlefield series, when bf2 had a great modding community while it is a dead product on this side today. It looks very similar what the management of Bethesda is trying to make out of the Fallout series. I would like to spend more money so that Bethesda can continue, but not this way. Btw, i just came home from work and did not update the game so far. Started steam after disabling the network adapter and set a fixed update time in the general download settings. Its so stupid we have not more control over this process and i hope this work out until the mods are updated.
shinelucid
well there are a ton of mods that I can use to shape the gameplay and I personally I'm constantly thinking of making new mods based on what I know already, Just the mere thinking that this is a highly moddable game makes me wanna come back everytime, the problem is that the game is not perfect in a sense that it requires mods to actually fix the game or add features that are supposed to be there in the first place, plus this is the only open world shooter out there that has this amount of content while also being this mod friendly.
