i LOVE this idea for a mod, and as for names i have an idea,

 

at first i thought it could be a sub-group of the blades called "the knives" but scratched that idea,

 

but then i thought about "The Talons"

 

each rank would be named according to its significance and job:

 

Pigeon - newbie

Wing - mission support team, wings support flight, they support missions

Claw - Assault force

Vultures - detective crew, go to crime scenes and investigate dead bodies, like real vultures

Crow - assassins are generally in this group

Hawks- Advance attack force

Owls- Geniuses, they go to the big, main crime scenes

Ravens- Deadly Assassins, a remarkable and well-respected position

 

and here are ones that shouldn't be player accessible:

 

Roost- Home base, provide missions

Toucan- negotiation crew

Pegasus- Battlemage/healers

Bats- Specialists in unnatural events such as deadra and Vampires

Eagles- Elite Task force, feared by every rank

Ostrich- Main messenger group, Runners

Cockatrice- Co-leader

Phoenix- Leader, orders all operation

 

personally, i think its cool, they are named after winged animals, and basically describe the position. If your investigating a crime scene there is probally a few Vultures and an Owl present, Going head-to-head with a rebel force you would have 2 wings, a few claws, a pegasus, an eagle and 2 hawks with you. Taking on some leftover mythic dawn members, you might have a bat with you.

 

These would be cool names but whatever you do this is still an AWSOME idea!

Some great names guys...LIS is funny..(and my ego would LOVE that) but Dezi is right.

 

I do really like the Black Horse Couier thing as a front. There could be a set of clothes that looks normal that you would wear in and out and maybe around town as your front...then you'd have your armor for missions. There is only one thing of importance semi-quest wise in there. I think I have/had a mod that did something to the upstairs but not the basement.

 

I am not however fond of Black Horse Group...I like the Black Horse part...but maybe the "official-secret" name could be like Black Horse Knights or something? Black Horse ShadowWalkers....etc

 

But a connection from the sewers should be possible...though it may interfere with other mods.

 

Though I plan to add NPCs of the BlackOps people...they will PROBABLY NOT being doing missions with you. They will have their own dialogue of thier missions they may help you...but they wont be going with.

 

I also plan to retexture a nice bow for this.

another quick opinion, the star wars Armor is your probaly your best bet with light and heavy, and this may sound weird, but maybe you could use some of the Naruto blackops design, the black armor with White animal masks covering the face.

The reason I suggested a separate building for the reporters of the Black Horse currier is because that building could be added to any or all towns without interfering with any other mods that may change the original BHC. As a second thought and taking an idea from my Vella den Keep mod, each building could be connected through underground tunnels.

 

The Black Horse Group was just so that I could get the idea out there even though I do like the Black Horse name and the association. It would be a great cover.

 

Oh, and I don't see anything wrong with taking a few ideas from Naruto some of that stuff is pretty cool.

How about...

You get recruited. Then go the Black Horse Courrier basement (IC)in which is the centre of operations for the BlackOps (Or whatever it's called). You meet the boss, he/she tells you what you'll be doing. You get told that you will receive missions from Black Horse Courrier Distribution Offices in each city if you give them the password. He/she tells you the first password you need and you get a new password upon completing each mission.

 

You would then need to build little offices in each city, or just outside, like stables. It seems to be the best solution.
