symlink deployment incompatible with Witcher 3

Okay, so I downloaded W3:Wild Hunt and DLC today (Yes, I'm late to the party). Vortex so far has been sitting on the drive for over a year with no games installed while I got into FO76, so it's a clean install, it updated to 1.1.5 today.

It gives the "symlink deployment incompatible with Witcher 3 (and Run As Admin)" and the "Hardlink AND Move Cannot Write to Output" errors.

1) I resolved the Hardlink and Move writing to output error briefly, but it came back. That was setting the entire folder from Read Only. Not sure why it reverted.Any advice?

2) The Symlink error - I got nothing. The game and the deployment drive setting are the same.

I got the game through GOG, if that helps.

Is the Vortex mod staging folder on the same hard drive as the game?

Also, I'd recommend using MOVE TO, if you're going to be using the Witcher's Mod/Script Merger, because I found out the hard way, using Symlinks, that the Mod/Script merger goes through the motions of looking like it's merging scripts, but it doesn't,
It needs actual physical copies for a successful merge.

Well, this is strange. (Or is it?) I recently downloaded Witcher 3 Wild Hunt from Steam and installed it. Vortex (v1.1.5) gave me two deployment options: "Hardlink Deployment" or "Move deployment." I chose "Hardlink Deployment," installed the updated Script Merger, installed two mods, and everything is working beautifully.

From experience, using Hardlinks with Witcher 3, the Script Merger LOOKS like it's doing a fine job, but when I merged a couple of more scripts, I ended up with a ton of errors on game start

I have this issue as well. Just installed The Witcher 3 again.
Vortex & The Witcher 3 are both on the same drive F:\

The folder The Witcher3\DLC doesn't exist.
It's linked to F:\Vortex Downlaods\Witcher3 and it still gives me those errors.
