StormWolf01
Heya SpringTrap. Sorry to hear that you're experiencing troubles like that. :(I am VERY curious as to what you're saying about the files disappearing. Is that something that you can replicate? Something that you can take a screenshot of? From the rest of your post, I'm kind of thinking that the CC stuff might be the cause of it. How many creation crud mods have you got?The reason I ask, is because all of those run under esl format. Which have a limit. Go past that limit, and the game will CTD at start.Another way to test to see if you've gone past the esl limit is to try to install new mods, and get an error saying that you can't, and that you need to uninstall some of your other mods first. HeyYou
I am thinking that outdated hardware may have something to do with it as well. Your vid card is WAY below spec for the game, and your processor is ancient.
SpringTrap3623
I dont think its my hardware 'cause i have 1,738 hours of time played with low graphics havent had anything go wrong until now.The CC items i have are the Sentinel Defense System, Anti-Material Rifle,Backpack, bunch of paint-jobs,the legacy pack and the manwell rifle pack.I had to verify and i am re-downloading the game files to see if that fixes it.If not than i dont know what to do.by files disappearing meaning i clicked on them an error appeared and then they deleted themselves. JimmyRJump
A GT710 GPU would run away screaming at the sight of a Solitaire card game and as such those 1738 hours of gaming you had can partially be added to good fortune. The resolution at which you play must need a magnifying glass. I had Fallout 4 crashing for running out of memory with an MSI 7970 Lightning 3GB and an i7-3770k. ENBoost is what saved me and later an MSI RX470 GamingX 8GB. That was in early 2016 when the game got its Far Harbor add-on released. Meanwhile the game has been optimised a touch but you can't expect to go all-out modding FO4 on a Core Duo with a GPU that was never intended for gaming. StormWolf01
Springtrap- Ok, run the game after it finishes doing the re-download. However, files do not just delete themselves. Particularly game files. If they are in fact deleted, your game would not even start, as the game file would be missing.I don't understand what you're trying to say there. Ok, so please don't get the wrong idea, that I'm trying to jump your case or trying to take a bite out of your backside. That is definitely not the case. But you've obviously got a big issue here, and in order to help you out, you're going to have to help us out, by giving better information. Also, after the reinstall if the CC stuff isn't re downloaded and your CC stuff has been removed, don't download and install it all at once. Try playing a game on a new character, without any mods, and see if the problem persists.I will repeat myself. Creation Club content has a LIMIT of how much of it you can install. Go past that limit, and the game will CTD."A bunch of" doesn't do anything to help me help you to see if that's the problem or not. Now also, in consideration that you are using some older hardware, are you using any kind of enhanced textures? Especially the DLC texture pack? Or any mods that use ENB's or high rez textures for your characters, clothes, weapons, anything on the player that is going to load as soon as the game starts? HeyYou
At one time, the pip-boy paint jobs were causing folks issues, along with another of the CC mods, which I can't remember just off hand. (Had a customer bring his machine in for crashing in FO4.... and nuking some of the cc content was the fix.) Yeah, I love my job. :D

Yeah, I love my job. :DYep, the armor paint jobs that they were giving out for free, on a weekly basis had the same problems.
SpringTrap3623
i had tried the high res textures dlc i think 2 days before it started happening.I have not used any mods execpt the CC ones.My graphics have been set to low since i first got fallout 4.I did have to re-download fallout 4 when steam thought it wasnt installed. So just to be clear on "a bunch of paint-jobs" basically whenever i saw something free i would click it.but this was before i bought the anti-material rifle, sentinel defense system, backpack, handmade shotgun(forgot this one in my last post),and the manwell rifle set.I have all the dlcs installed except the high res textures dlc.I will see what it does when i finish the re-download.Is there anyway to go back to a previous steam cloud upload if not it was just an idea i had that might help. StormWolf01
Heyas Springtrap - Ok so first off. As far as doing a rollback. Unless you have a working backup copy of the game on your computer, no there isn't. The steam update replaces 4 files this time, instead of just replacing the .exe file like it did with several previous updates.Unless you have those 4 files from an earlier installation already saved to your disk, from a previous install, you're not going to be able to do a rollback. If that's what you're trying to ask about. If you're asking if there's a way to have all your previously installed mods reinstalled from your previous game, before the the reinstall....not thru steam there isn't. If you're using the low graphics settings, then the hi-rez DLC is.... really sorry to be so blunt... a waste of your hard drive space. Low settings are going to display the lowest possible rez, so there's not much point in reinstalling that. It may have also been a leading cause of your crashes, since you have an older vid card.
