How to Get Rid of DC and Goodneighbor?

Hi there.

1. Go to the object you want to duplicate.

2. Open the console

3. Click on the object. You should get a ref id in the center of the screen. (I advise using this mod to allow for more information to be displayed: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26582)

4. close the console

5. go to the location where you want to have the new object

6. Open console and type: spawndupe

7. hit enter and close the console

Check your results, sometimes the item is not correctly placed. Sometimes it is. Many items (not all) can be moved with the workshop afterwards. Although I do have a mod that allows me to interact with everything in settlements.

Interesting ideas, after I last visited, thanks StormWolf and AeonsLegend. I'm not sure wether Piper's dialog is mandatory for the opening of the DC gate. In one of my playthroughs she was dead before I met her, but the gate was open nevertheless.

I ran into a strange problem. I never used the CK for static objects in Skyrim or Fallout 4, just to put items and NPCs in, so maybe I'm too dumb to handle it. With the CK I placed some concrete walls, from the Covenant folder, in front of the DC entrance. The walls appear in game but NPCs and I can simply walk through them as if they do not exist. Could someone explain?

Another question: does someone know by heart where the junk walls are located in the CK? Did not find them, it's awkward, I know.

Hi Geala! Glad to have been of some help to you.

Hm. That's a very interesting problem. I can honestly say that I've never used the CK, so I am afraid that I do not know the answer to why the walls are not blocking them from moving past them.

It would be very interesting to know though. It gives me all kinds of ideas for secret doors. It looks like a door, but it's not.

As for Piper, that would be very interesting if that's not needed. Her dialog. I've seen a lot of cases where people weren't able to get her to talk, and thus weren't able to enter DC.
