ImmortalAbsol
Sorry could someone tell me how to spawn dupe?It sounds like that would allow me to build with vanilla assets that aren't in my build menu, using Place Everywhere Edited January 14, 2020 by ImmortalAbsol
AeonsLegend
Hi there. 1. Go to the object you want to duplicate.2. Open the console3. Click on the object. You should get a ref id in the center of the screen. (I advise using this mod to allow for more information to be displayed: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26582)4. close the console5. go to the location where you want to have the new object6. Open console and type: spawndupe7. hit enter and close the console Check your results, sometimes the item is not correctly placed. Sometimes it is. Many items (not all) can be moved with the workshop afterwards. Although I do have a mod that allows me to interact with everything in settlements. ImmortalAbsol
Thank you."Although I do have a mod that allows me to interact with everything in settlements."I use Place Everywhere and press the Insert key to enable extra objects.Do you use something different? AeonsLegend
I use that as well, but also "scrap everything". Not sure which one enables it.
geala
Interesting ideas, after I last visited, thanks StormWolf and AeonsLegend. I'm not sure wether Piper's dialog is mandatory for the opening of the DC gate. In one of my playthroughs she was dead before I met her, but the gate was open nevertheless. I ran into a strange problem. I never used the CK for static objects in Skyrim or Fallout 4, just to put items and NPCs in, so maybe I'm too dumb to handle it. With the CK I placed some concrete walls, from the Covenant folder, in front of the DC entrance. The walls appear in game but NPCs and I can simply walk through them as if they do not exist. Could someone explain? Another question: does someone know by heart where the junk walls are located in the CK? Did not find them, it's awkward, I know. StormWolf01
Hi Geala! Glad to have been of some help to you. Hm. That's a very interesting problem. I can honestly say that I've never used the CK, so I am afraid that I do not know the answer to why the walls are not blocking them from moving past them.It would be very interesting to know though. It gives me all kinds of ideas for secret doors. It looks like a door, but it's not. As for Piper, that would be very interesting if that's not needed. Her dialog. I've seen a lot of cases where people weren't able to get her to talk, and thus weren't able to enter DC.
HeyYou
I thought Piper was also listed as Essential? Or at the very least, Protected... (and only the player can kill her.) Maybe I will test that theory in my current playthru.... I haven't been to diamond city yet. :D

geala
She is essential in vanilla, so that the player cannot kill her accidentially with his pocket fatman, or similar.
