SamClemens82
Hello, I think this is the right place to post this question, if not I apologize in advance. I've been playing Skyrim SE on Xbox1 X for many years, but I want to try EMBs and better LOD mods, which don't seem to be available for console users. I used to build computers, but it's been many years and technology has changed significantly. I'd like to ask the Nexus community for guidance on PC specifications that will best support an EMB/LOD modded instance of Skyrim SE which I already purchased through Steam. Would the following specifications suffice? Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700 8-Core 3.2 GHz (4.1 GHz Max Boost) processorMotherboard: B450 MotherboardVideo Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB Memory: 16GB DDR4 3000 Power Supply: 500 Watt 80 PLUS Certified Power SupplyHDD: 500GB SSD – Up to 30x Faster Than Traditional HDDOperating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit Should I run a more beefier video card, and is 16GB DDR4 okay for memory, or should I do 32GB DDR5? Thank you for any support you can offer.
Rabbit1251
This would better be posted in the Skyrim SE Technical Support Forum found here:https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/4050-skyrim-special-edition-technical-support/. You will be better able to get a response there. Good luck!! The Rabbit
HeyYou
The 1660ti is no slouch, but, if you can afford a meaner card, go for it. It's more along the lines of 'future proofing'. Win 10 is perfectly happy with 4 gb RAM, 8 might give you a bit of a performance boost, I personally run 16, and it seems to work out rather well. I haven't had any crashes related to a lack of RAM. I run FO4, with the high res texture pack, without issue, and I only have a GTX 1060 with 6gb of VRAM. 32 may be overkill, but, I don't think there is really any such thing as "too much ram".... :D

kthompsen
I heavily modded on an i7 1060 16GB RAM once (now have moved on). You'll be fine in 1080p, for sure. Possibly 1440p will be fine too. Don't bother with 4K. But then, hardly anything does 4K well, to be fair.
