Do Ghouls Need Food and Water?

Could be, but that is kind of counter intuitive to have two types of sustain. Nature dicates that one of them prevails and the other is removed. So if ghouls can live off of radiation alone then they don't need food and vice versa.

So they can survive on food and water just like us, but say, if they were in a fridge recieving rads they would be feeling and suffering the effects of dehydration and starvation but still healing at a rate that does not allow them to die.

But that doesn't explain how Necropolis would die if you took their water purification chip in FO1.

Necropolis follows the correct, general logic of the ghouls. The kid in the fridge follows Todd's fever-induced dream logic.

It just WORKS! :D

That saying.

When Hickok45 says it, I believe it.

From Todd Howard... nahhhhhh.

Here's my question tho. How did this kid get lucky enough to get stuck in a fridge that was not airtight? It's a prewar fridge, according to the video. By all logic, he woulda suffocated, long before the radiation turned him into a ghoul.

Let's not forget that in 2 the devs say Myron created jet but later on contradict that point, and in 4 this fact gets completely disregarded, yet the general consensus remains that it was Myron's creation. So beth/Interplay making story mistakes is nothing new.

Beth consistently plays fast and loose with their own lore. None of this should really come as a surprise. :D

Not to mention that some writers will throw in parts of a story that are lies. So as to mislead the reader/player into one belief, and then drop something completely different on them.

Deacon, who most of us KNOW to be a habitual liar, is one such example. The story with Danse, is another.
