Deleted3967079User
Skyui was causing a bunch of crash to desktop issues because of autosave on exiting dungeons so I disabled it in vortex.Afterwards, I try to enable it again but then skyrim doesn't recognize the mod (doesn't show up in game) so I purge my directory and try to redeploy only to find out that Vortex no longer deploys anything and it claims all 79 of my mods are "redundant"... ok.. 100 hours in and fully corrupted saves because my mods can't be deployed... wonderful... And am I missing something or is there a disable all mods button in vortex? because if I seriously have to go 1 by 1 disabling and enabling I'll lose my mind...Might just be done with the modding scene anyway... so tired of this kindof stuff but it is worth noting (and why I posted here) that there is apparently some deploy loop or issue that can cause Vortex to not actually deploy anything and consider everything a redundant file. DarkDominion
Vortex works fine, it's usually the user who ( accidentally ) makes a mistake and effs up the mods. Go to your MODS tab and select a MOD and CTRL+A to select them all. Down at the bottom there will be a white bar with :ENABLE - DISABLE - REMOVE - CHECK FOR UPDATES etc... There is your DISABLE
HadToRegister
How did you determine that SKYUi was causing crashing on Autosave?SkyUI has nothing to do with that. You hit purge, and the mod manager severs all connection from the Mod Staging Folder to the Game\Data folder. You should then be able to hit the REDPLOY button in the menu to restore your mods.Where do you have your Mod Staging folder set to?It sounds like you disabled all your mods, then purged them which is confusing Vortex. To disable all, just hit CTRL+A and select Disable AllNot sure why you want to do that though. If it's calling EVERYTHING a Redundant File, then I think something else was done before PURGING, or after Purging. After you purged the mods, did you DISABLE them as well?Because you keep mentioning Enabling/Disabling and Purging all in the same post. There is your DISABLE lol, ok thank you for the disable all tip.I don't see how disabling a mod should cause the entire program to stop deploying mods.I was able to get it to work again after uninstalling vortex and reinstalling vortex; deploys then worked fine... so obviously there IS something wrong with vortex. However this process corrupted my save file of 100 hours or so but whatever... I just uninstalled and won't be coming back to Skyrim again. What Vortex had done is removed all the data from it's own staging folders and then would consider all the files redundant because they had no data. That occurred by me simply disabling a single mod and then immediately enabling it again. I took no other steps... I've done this hundreds of times. Something went haywire somewhere in the backend. **shrug** like I said.. whatever.. maybe this was the wrong place to post the issue but I DID need to know how to enable or disable all (though.. not having a ui element for that seems super odd). Again, Thanks
HadToRegister
IF you DISABLE a mod on the MOD Tab, you are essentially Uninstalling it.If you disable a PLUGIN on the Plugin Tab, then you are just preventing the ESP from showing up in the load order.Just using PURGE, leaves the Data in the Mod Staging Folder, so that you can easily ReDeploy them again.DISABLING the MOD, on the MOD Tab, removes the mod from the Mod Staging Folder.Sound like you disabled the mods, then purged them, so now Vortex has no clue what to do
