ghosu
As he said...he created a custom skeleton. You can move around the weapon's bone that determines the position while sheathed. Edited February 25, 2014 by ghosu
HaggizZ
HaggizZ any chance you could provide a link to that mod? I am dying for something like this! Also what did you do exactly? Position the twohanded weapon slot a bit more to the side and down or what?Thank you very much in advance! I moved some nods in Nifskope. I will release it as soon as I can - I will send you a message. EDIT: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51551/? Mookeylama
Is this topic dead? Come on people!i hope not! good to see it still kickin a bit.i had a pretty good idea i think. saw this mod...http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18294/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D18294%26preview%3D&pUp=1and this author's made some like it too...http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/1704116/?tb=mods&pUp=1 the cool thing about these are that seems like anything can be put back there on a backpack, bandolier, quiver ect. EVEN 2 hd weapon models maybe! personally i quit using axes n hammers because of the ridiculous way they attach so to have even just their model hanging correctly on my back from time to time, through an equipable item, would be a definite download for me. just an item i could equip to see the axe logically placed on my back would be sweet. BUT the best part would be if you could make the actual, useable axe, be invisible ONLY while sheathed on your back...and if you had this aforementioned equipable item on at the time (ie; a quiver w/ axe attached), with the axe positioned correctly...then when you drew the axe, it would give the illusion that you had the axe hanging correctly all along. and it would be useable! so kinda overcoming the problems mentioned earlier in this thread that put this project at a deadend.the million dollar question is IF an axe/hammer model can be made invisible only when sheathed. is that possible? if so then a few versions of this equipable backpack axe thing could be made (steel, ebony ecy) . you equip the "backpack w/ steel axe attached", then equip a real steel axe, and it'd look like you have it hanging correctly AND you could use it. watcha thing folks? AfroGamerNinja
Come to think of it, do people even carry some kind of sheath for two-handed swords on their person? Or all the two-handers carried by other means like chariots and what not?
Mookeylama
^ historically large weapons like that were tended by squires, quartermasters, underlings, carried on wagons, ships, horses. yeah, you'd not find anyone carrying a weapon like that unless maybe they were separated and lost after a battle and they HAD to carry it

Azrative
If someone would just lower or even flip position of war-axes and war-hammers and made it compatible with xp32 skeleton, dual sheaths redux and maybe reversed bow placement I would be so damn happy. PS: If you guys want to see some good and proper ways to sheathe and unsheathe two-handed swords just take a look at The Witcher game. It looks really cool there. Someone can made a mod with similar animation to add some of that Witcher coolness to Skyrim. Edited October 24, 2014 by Azrative
