Zanderat
When I go to update a mod (in this case TPOS2) that has a smaller update file to install on top of the older version, I am having trouble. I don't get the old "replace" or "install" buttons. (I would normally choose "install", because I wouldn't want top replace to larger older file.) Instead, I get some nonsense about profiles and I can't successfully update the mod. Vortex keeps removing the older larger file and replaces it with the smaller update file. Reverting back to 1.15 worked.
Tannin42
The function of that dialog is exactly the same, we just rephrased the buttons. You get the option to "update all profiles" which is the same as "replace" (replacing the mod will lead to all profiles using the new version, this was always the case) and to "update the active profile" which is the same as "install", as the new version is installed alongside the old one and only the active profile is changed to use it. Zanderat
Thanks, Tannin42. If that is the case, then it is not working as intended. When I choose the "update the active profile" option it still "replaces" rather than "installs".
dizietemblesssma
I can't give any examples right now, but I've always chosen 'replace' and I get a mixture of three results, an actual replacement with the older version no longer there, an orange box with the two versions showing when you click on the box, a separate install listed over/underneath the original. I always just delete the old version when either of the last two happen so no biggie, but I've always thought that it seemed inconsistent. diziet
