Datsurge
What it seems to be is that whenever I try to set any kind of filepath (like where downloads go, where games are since some aren't detected automatically, etc.) Vortex freezes. It doesn't crash to desktop, it just stops responding altogether. Task Manager doesn't flag it as 'not responding' for whatever reason. Running 64-bit W10, Vortex is updated to the latest version. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice just to check, zero changes.
Pickysaurus
Can you check the "Browse" window hasn't opened behind Vortex for some strange reason?
Datsurge
Can you check the "Browse" window hasn't opened behind Vortex for some strange reason? I tried checking it. When I hold alt+tab, only three windows show up. Discord, Chrome and Vortex's main window which can't be interacted with in any way. If the browsing window appears, it's not visible or detectable at least. I checked with Witcher 3 when trying to set its filepath through clicking Manage and when it offers you to click Continue to set its filepath, that's where it stops. If you're using Windows Defender, try turning of "Controlled Folder Access", if you're using any other AV software, try turning it off before trying to Browse in Vortex and see if that works.it sounds like an AntiVirus software is jumping in right when Vortex tries to access a game folder and is getting blocked by the AV, which in turn Locks Up Vortex.
