Hi, I encountered such a problem.

I did as it is written here, but it did not help.

==BURNT SPRIGGAN EFFECT (DRAGONBORN)==

http://static2.nexusmods.com/110/mods/images/14718-1-1367918133.jpg
Hard to see burning embers on the player

- download the "_bugfix_DLC2BurtSpigganFXScript.rar" file attached to the bottom of this post.
- extract the files in "_bugfix_DLC2BurtSpigganFXScript.rar" to the equivalent folders under your main Skyrim folder (eg. "DLC2BurtSpigganFXScript.pex" sould go into SKYRIM\DATA\SCRIPTS)
- start Skyrim and load your problem savegame.
- find a burnt spriggan and attack it. The stuck visual effect should stop immediately.
Credit to daleowen5666 for finding the problem and fix. I've made a small change to the script fix he originally proposed.

Please help.

@wakdsadjskl: That looks just like my problem. Where were you in game when you picked it up? I was in Blackreach. Have your installed any new mods lately? I installed Enhanced Mighty Dragons and Morrowloot shortly before the mist appeared.

Not sure where I picked it up but it wasn't blackreach cus I havnt even been there yet. No new mods were installed.

I have something that very much looks like the draugr eye glow effect, but despite all the available solutions I can't get rid of it. I have tried the following:

  • player.DispelAllSpells
  • player.addspell / player.removespell, for all the IDs I get when I type 'help "draugr abilities"', including the ID listed here.
  • add/removespell with the draugrfxscript file from this thread
  • add/removespell without any of the unofficial patches loaded
  • Running all the cure batch files from this thread, except the two for mods I am not using. I made sure that the numbers matched my load order.

The sexchange command fixes it briefly, but the effect returns as soon as I enter first person or make a new save and then load it.

Something to note is that I do have a save without the effect right before it happened, and I don't even have to fight anything to have it show up. Simply fast traveling to another area does it.

The effect is a little less pronounced than some of the videos/screenshots I have seen, but it acts similarly. When I run, it produces the same trails from the eyes.

I have previously had an issue with the dragon priest abilities which I was able to solve with the fix from this thread (thank you ), so it's not like my game is immune to any sort of effect removal.

Here's how it looks. Only part of the glow is visible, but I'm guessing that's due to face editing/mods:

Here's how they look inside the character's head:

Does anyone have any idea?

Edit: Never mind, it was the draugr eye effect and I just had a severe case of the derps. I apparently hadn't tried all of the "draugr abilities" IDs while both deactivating USKP and loading the script fix from this thread. Adding and removing one of the other IDs (not f71d1) fixed it. Might be because I am using the Requiem mod, as it changes quite a lot - not sure.

Tip for others having difficulties with this effect: type help "draugr abilities" in the console and try adding/removing all the IDs listed.

This thread is a lifesaver. But has anyone ever said WHY this happens? And is there any way to prevent it happening?

It's so annoying, riding around Skyrim and occasionally hear some invisible thing punch my horse, and see "was equipped" in the corner. I'm pretty sure I have a couple of effects on my player right now but they're not producing any visible effects, so god only knows what they're doing to my game behind the scenes...

All I can say is: Thank you!

After defeating "Dukaan" a Dragon Priest from Dragonborn DLC a strange purple fog appeared on my Character.

Fortunately I found this Turorial and the ==DRAGON PRIEST PURPLE SMOKE EFFECT= section.

"player.addspell Spell_ID and playerremovespell Spell_ID + fixed script" did the trick.

Particulary in my case:

player.addspell 0703911B

player.removespell 0703911B

"07" stands for the Dragonborn loadorder.

I also play with the USKP, over 180 Mods incl. Immersive Creatures and your fix works immediately.

So, thank you Steve40 not just for this fix but for all the optional fixes you have released!

@DarkRaven77

Than try these codes.

Seriously, If you need a picture book to solve your problem than you won't be able to fix it.

The tutorial was carfully put down to the last detail by Steve40.

All you need is the ability to read a little bit time and espescially the will to read.

I was able to fix my problem without a picture [after reading: first try, first code] so I'm confident you're able to do this too.

I mean english is not even my native language... that f***ing awesome is that tutorial!

No offense, but... I'm sure you get it.
