suiseseki
Hi. I'm using the most recent version of Vortex (1.2.16) playing Skyrim on a 64bit windows 10. A few days ago my Vortex was removed from my computer for an unknown reason. I uninstalled and redownloaded Vortex and now it's doing this. When I add a new mod and attempt to enable it, in the top right message box it goes from "extracting" to "installing" and is permanently stuck on the latter. When I close Vortex and comes back, the mod will still be "never installed" or "uninstalled". I have tried multiple mods, and this also happens to mods that I have enabled before and are now "uninstalled". However a "disabled" mod can be "enabled" just fine. Thank you. EDIT: WELL, problem solved itself. Turns out it was caused by my VPN. I did not know that installing a mod would have anything to do with Internet connection. HadToRegister
Installing a mod has nothing to do with your VPN.Most likely it's your AnitVirus program that is blocking things from installing, and deleting Vortex.Which AV program do you use, because there have been a lot of reports of people having their Vortex Installation deleted
hollidayjr1
I had the exact same problem. And solved it like you by turning off my VPN. Vortex would hang on installing any mod, even ones previously installed. No logical explanation for this but when VPN is turned off, all mods install normally. Nothing to do with antiVirus. Thanks for your solution above and hopefully Vortex will correct in near future.

I use PIA VPN, and have never had a problem with it causing a problem with my VPN
Pickysaurus
I don't even... why would a VPN cause that? Unless it was some shady as heck software that was powering it...
hollidayjr1
I use express vpn and I don't understand it either. It is well recommended by most. I have it set to only allow certain programs(ie. web browser) to use it. Very strange indeed.
