DigitalBlasphemer
It is done. I now have 2 copies of Steam...the former and corrupted and the brand new, directly-to-C-drive install.
Purr4me
So just install Steam directly to USB, then cut and paste it to C?Genius. It's so much simpler.DO NOT Cut and Paste anythingyou install the game directly from the new steam.it is only 1 game. NO need to do anything more.if you want access to the other games? all you need to do is use task manager to disable turn off the usb steam and launch the old steam. I don't know who is responsible for all of this scavenging things from 1 installation to another but it's all wrong.Steam is an entity all by it's self just as GOG galaxy is. It encapsualizes the games within the product.Just install steam, log in , go to your fo3 game and install it there and forget new folder things.it's on a usb drive, out of reach of any corrupting artifact's from MS windows Edited July 9, 2020 by Purr4me

DigitalBlasphemer
I installed it directly to the C drive. The USB stick is 2.0, so I found out. From what I've read, 2.0 is crap for...well, everything. (Explains why I got it so cheap too). The new copy of Steam is on C though, NOT in program files, it is in it's own folder that I created for it.
