I have searched for two days now on how I can fix this issue and it leads me nowhere. So starting off, I installed Vortex and tried to install a simple mod. A Daedric armor for my werewolf if you're curious. It didn't work, but I should mention that upon attempting to install the mod (forgive my noob use of terminology) a prompt came up titled "Access denied" with it saying "Vortex needs to access (such and such hard drive and file location of the game) but doesn't have permission. If your account has admin rights Vortex can try to unlock the file for you." After I clicked "give permission", it just continued and still continues to reopen with the same prompt seconds later... Don't know if that's relevant but figured I should mention it. Anyway, after installing the mod and ignoring that prompt, I closed vortex, opened up skyrim like usual... Only this time I try to load my game and I get a message saying "This save relies on content that is no longer present. Some objects may no longer be available. Continue loading?" And that right there is when fort dawnguard completely disappeared as well as the quests. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT A NOOB ME LIKE ME HAS DONE WRONG AND HOW TO FIX IT :( I tried to load a previous save and it didn't work either. I humbly, humbly ask for your guidance ole wise nexus ones.

Somebody just posted the exact same problem today.

First...

WHAT GAME? Is it Old SKyrim or Skyrim Special Edition?

I'm guessing you have everything installed in C:\Program Files (x86), because Windows goes too far and overprotects that folder.

Where did you put your Mod Staging Folder?
Is the Mod Staging Folder on the Same Drive as the Game?

Thanks for replying!! It's the LEGENDARY EDITION... Something that is apparently completely foreign to people here as I see NO ONE mentions it... Lol. But I guess it's Old Skyrim because vortex couldn't find Skyrim Special Edition installed so I guess it's safe to assume it's Old Skyrim. The Mod Staging Folder is in "{USERDATA}\{GAME}\mods" ... So it looks like no. I'm sorry for my noobness... I take it the Folder should've been on the same drive as the game huh? (Wish I got a notification I could've replied much earlier I thought I wouldn't have gotten replies for days)
