So what have I added?Lots of chests for making easier to move out and move back into the Hobbit Home in case it will be needed2 MerchantsA new dynamic and bright companionA complete new companion scriptSo I did attach that new script to a jaguar from WAC: Waalx Animals & Creatures What makes this script so unique is that it is extremely dynamic.The Jaguar starts at lvl 1 and 10000 exp and gain Targetlevel * 10 and each level increases with 1.3x of the base exp from previous level(s)It adds a spell that you use to tell them what to attack if they for some odd reason just stand there in a corner, which is rare.You add friends to him, well anyone really and they will attack and support the Jaguar and player, both from the spell but also a lot of conditionsYou can clean the friends list in a single clickA loop that scans the surrounding for targets, both for the Jaggy but also for the friend and they will also check if the player is under attack and choose that target first.The players Crossair, as it is otherwise impossible to get what target the player is fighting but everything and everyone else can see and use it, every NPC and creature.You can see the Jaggy stats and also the stats of the first added friend. WHy do they stress, why do they not move and so on.You can hit Jaggy and all his friends as much as you want. They will not report you, nor they will attack backIf somone attacks Jaggy, well send him home with a separate spell or tell him to piss off (Go away: Hides for 7s, gets back, update3D and evp)Tell him to drop stuff from his backpack, which gets filled with arrows sooner or laterI did hit Jaggy so much, he stopped follow me around well he follows, but from a very far distance, so he will sit, doing nothing until a fight starts, if you give him to much beating, but still, he do not attack backIf any NPC attacks him that has a friendly disposition towards the player, he will add that NPC to the JaggyFaction but sometimes it fails. Adding the NPC to the playerfaction will do the trick, which you can do from the console - This is rare though but when you enter the Private Quarters the first time, he will fight with the merchants that are not in the playerfaction as far as I can remember as they are in the fences and TG. Well it doesn't matter really.The new companion works perfect with CM partners, tamed pets from MOO or whatever. There is no limits really. Anyone added to the Jaggy friends list will port to you, even if you use coc <mapmarker> or any portal spell and doors. Warning:The scripts has a couple of nested loops so adding to many friends to the Jaggy, will cause lag. The script runs twice every second so if you add 8 friends, you might end up with 0.5s playable game time and a break of 1s. I added 2 friends the other day with no issues and I will try to figure out how many that we can add until the game stumbles or cause more lag than normal. Useless companions are all from FG that Bethesda added and CM partners might not always attack the target the player is fighting but this new script solves this issue, ones and for all. MOO pets can just freeze if they get attacked, specially if they get attacked by more then one target and that problem will stop to exist if you use Jaggy. I have never used the scripts on 2 Creatures/NPC and if we do, adding them as friends to each others and adding more friends to them all as well -> LAG, BIG LAAAAAAAG! Do use common sense please. Earlier, we stayed at the same company for many years, as we thought we where untouchable and that they could not kick us if we did what we where supposed to do but I was so wrong. The gaming Industries works like that more or less, as you get assignments mostly and when you are done, well then you continue with other stuff or get unemployed and we have a safty system in Sweden, where we never end up under a bridge or get well taken care of, with or without work. A system we got very early in Sweden. I am really happy to be a Swede. -Well Pekka, get to the point: -Okay? I have contacted the University, looking for Game development and that course do require 180p, so I will try to get that and also search for Max 3D courses as you know, I know Blender but not Max but how hard can it be? The University have responded with links, more contacts and welcome me with open arms, well, only if I can meet their demands I guess but I do think I do, but if I am not, I will make sure I really do it. I saw a series at SVT Play about the Swedish game wonder and I am sure you cannot see it but if you do, you will most likely get as chocked and impressed as I did. I do have 160 books placed in game, with new covers for the COBL books, which are mostly TES 1 to 3 books and that will keep you busy for a long time. The quest will be generic. You run the same bloody quest all the time You get a note about 1-5 possible locations of the book The book will be placed in a chest in the dummy cell The chest is moved to a generic dungeon, which has no quests with PositionCell X, Y, Z, Angle Cellname which also means you will never miss a generic dunmgeon but they are mostly boring so... I know there are still dungeons I never visited in game. The Chest will have a Targetmarker The Quest will never end. I do not know yet if I will update the logs in the quest or just have one single entry, which does not matter as the quest progress is scripted and all books, dungeons and coordinates are added into arrays in a function. You can get the book from anywhere, you do not need to follow the quest. You can empty a guildhall from books, add them all to the booksorter and fill the library quickly The Librarian will be able to print extra books as soon as you added a book to the library and she will sell them to you if you misplace a book but if you misplace a book, it will be possible to quest for it again anyway so you never need to worry about missing books really. All waste books will be placed in a Book Trash Barrel and they will be sold if you ask the librarian to sell them. I might add a separate esp for scrolls as I am tired of selling scrolls from the inventory and let the Librarian take care of them and specially the scrolls from MOO and Ultimate leveling. Damn, I get overloaded by all bloody scrolls all the time and I am tired of them as they are useless for my char. I am lazy, very lazy and laziness is a way to make great optimisations and solutions for making life easy. Pellape Posted February 12, 2022 Author Share Posted February 12, 2022 (edited) When times flies away and you do not mod for a while, you forget some basic stuff or rather work arounds, stuff that should work but do not. I will try to be as brief as possible about the problems and focus at the solutions. Original cells I had to edit is the area around the house and a door inside Hrota Cave as that makes perfect sence IC, so one dungeon is changed with CS but all quests inside that cave works perfect without issues. The dventures mod and the fighters guild quests, both works with my door and wall in that specific cell. But thats it, not one more change to any cell, what so ever. Problems:Target Marker added up at odd places, when I used XmarkerHeadings.The chest went invisible and added up at odd places time to time.It is when we move Xmarkers with scripts that does causes the problems and does not work as we imagine. Static placed ones with CS that stay in place: No problems at all. Move them from a script and we will have odd problems. This is also described by other authors of mark and recall spells and in previous post of my recall and mark spells and summon stuff spells. Moving Xmarkers to SI made me give it up as they just disappeared and made my recall spells worthless last year. :wink: Solution:A Rat marker. A Rat that does not move, ZERO aggro, max, 100 conf and is inviss with 10k HP. I use 34 already in the HobbitHome since last year and they never fail, not even if I remove an esp with cells they are placed, in, as then they end up in Talos Hotel, like everything else that loose their previous locations. They work 100000% perfect. :D Here is what I had to do to get the quest to work as I refuse to make any changes within a dungeon from CS, to keep the outside world as intact as possible, without any conflicts, specially as the goal is to use every single dungeon that lacks a quest and that is LOOOOADS of cells to make dirty but I will not as I will not cause any conflicts at all, that is the goal. Set the Questtarget to an object in the final cell and best is to target a door and then check so you did not not make a single change in that cell, just pointed in it. When the quest starts, move the invisible rat to the cell When player enters the cell or rather in the same cell as the rat, enable the rat marker for 1s and disable it. Change the QuestTarget from the door to the rat, which is done with quest variables Disable the chest with the book and move it to the rat and wait for 1s move the chest up in Z 18 Enable the chestNow the player can follow the right questtargetmarker in the compass and at the map, without any issues. The quest will work without a marker too, but that is the thing, to get it all to work, without making any cells dirty. :D The player will not notice anything as the switching of questtargets goes so damn fast, so blink your eyes twice when you enter the dungeon and it is all done for the player to continue and get the bloody book he is there to collect in the first place. Custom PackagesParallell wih this, I also now make packages quests for the companions, to make them do more stuff at the house, then just follow their boring packages that they now have, eat, train and sleep, all in the same area. So damn boring. The new packages will allow them to visit the Library, go out and guard different spots, gather ingridients (This needs to be tested), eat at the roof, where the barbeque stuff is located. Well these new packages, will have no limits at all. I could change the follower esp, but I do not want that. I want to have the control from the hobbithome.esp, nothing else and that will allow the player to add all companions, no matter which they use, from any mod, limitless. Pellape Posted February 14, 2022 Author Share Posted February 14, 2022 (edited) Most common dungeons are boring, well those without quests, that has lower critters that are easy to kill so to make every dungeon challenging, I will add 18 Book Burglars to them. They are in a dummy cell so I keep the actual dungeon clean from any changes. Disabled Book Burglars gets ported to the dungeon when the quest starts As soon as the player enter the same cell as them, they gets enabled I made sure they are friends to the common critters and bandits so the dungeon gets extra challenging. When they die, I use a spell that loots them and disables them, so my companions stops to check them. When I leave the dungeon and deliver the book, a Script resurrects them and move them back to the dummy cell and I add knew sets of items to them like: Common books, weapons, a pewter mug, armor and robes. The weapons are custom. They are set to 30 damage and Ignore, mages dagger to dmg 20 and 1.5 in speed, which will hurt when they hit, I hope. Armor types as set as proper for Burglars and thieves. The mages has grey Robes. I use some custom races from COBL for fun as well on some Book Burglars.Book Burglars? Well when you get to the library, it is empty as every book is stolen and your job is primary to restore the library and not kill Book Burglars so any book will do as it is up to you where to find it. You can add as many books to the Dwemer Book Sorter at any point so there is no need for a quest really but quests are fun and will help you later to find rare and even skill books but not until all lower books are restored first so we cheat less. You will have a full leveled char anyway until you reach so far into the book quests for rare and skill books anyway. There are 160 books so far in the list of books for the quests, the SI books are not added yet even and I also saw some other books I will peek at and we also have all the COBL books that I will not add to the burglars as they are no where, so all those needs to be delivered until you will get my help to find rare and skill books for sure. The Book Burglars have lower books as loot, up to 45 different ones. That forces the player to do 115 quests at least, well you will find rare and skill books anyway where they are supposed to be, but there will still be plenty of quests to do until I add them into the game. The first quest works as any quest with Log updates and nice RP from the hysteric Librarian and so on and it works perfect. Quest 2 and forward will be at Stage 100, and will only be script controlled and I have not tested it but I will do that now, test quest 2. :D She hates if you sell any book but she will help you with it, under protest, so if you wanna keep her happy, just leave the books in the Library but if you sell them, it will not change the disposition to her at all, but she will give disgusting comments about it for sure. ;) Edited February 14, 2022 by Pellape Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am very self confident in solving my own problems as they do not stress me much these days, which I think is required really to let this be fun and not a burden. :D I do make errors constantly and miss stuff all the time... :D Well I come so far that I am fighting my new Burglars in a new dungeon. Beta testing and correcting errors takes hours...I am a bit worried now about resurrecting the disable victims, but I think it will work. Moving dead bodies with moveto does not work so they must be ressed before I try to move them. Adding some good personality to the different NPC's shouldn't be a problem as I have RP'd a lot in Ultima, Horizons, WoW and ESO but I am not among the best RPers. I am so bad that the ESO RPers made sure to get rid of me or make me stop trying to RP. :D They are extreme, doing D&D stuff and I am not patient with power emotions really... So boring. But I have so much exteriance from it that I know my dialogues will be good. When I interact with my Librarian, I can really feel her love for books and her distate for my char if it tries to sell the books which it owns. -You have the right to do what you want with your books mylady, you are the owner of this library after all, but I prefer if you would keep them in this very library and not sell them and that includes all your notes and scrolls you will find during your adventures, as if you sell them, that would have made me very unhappy and I would consider leaving this current employment and work with someone that really like books. I do love to get this library into a proper state again if you just let me do it mylady. I did learn something new:I have enabled bodies earlier at a cell that was not updated and that body I have in mind, was looted but that body was not a persistent Ref, which mine must be as I put them and work with them in arrays. I wanted to make sure after I killed a burgler that he could be activated, so I looted the body, disabled it and enabled it, and it got all stuff back from its levellist so I did put a some hours to no good, choosing new proper stuff for them really... ;) But it doesn't matter as they seems to prefer the new stuff and I guess the player will be happy if he is poor, when he discover at Quest 3 that these bodies have double stuff!!!! :D Both Stuff from the original bandit lvllist and the new stuff I added to them. I was so sure when I did that script that if we loot them and disable them, that the stuff is gone forever, but that is not case. The last test I did to make sure all Burglars got ressed and moved to the dummy cell was to enable them and check them while my char where wearing 100% Chameleon stuff and sneak mode. They all used the new stuff it looked like :D I know that an NPC will choose the best item by default, so no wonder. I like them better this way really, with custom stuff that makes proper sense. Having weapons that can kill undead must be a priority for a burglar or a criminal that plan to use dungeons for storing their loot in? Do you not agree? Bandits often us the sheapest stuff, why? They should afford to use proper stuff really, so they can survive attacks from undead as one example, otherwise they would not enter such a place in the first place... ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is the first time I call functions from a function so lets see how that will work. After a function is executed, it looses its variables, so lets see if the calling function will keep the variables or not but I do think they do but as I am not sure, this needs to be tested.
