passag3
Hello! I recently got a new PC and wanted to move my mods, but didn't want to go through the process of sorting through my download history to find the mods I had installed individually so I pulled the archive from my old pc to the new one. It seems it worked without a hitch but when I attempt to check for updates the mod manager tells me that all of my mods are up to date when i know that many aren't. I was wondering if there was a file I could have pulled over from the old PC that holds the info that the manager needs to see that some of my mods are out of date? I'd just like to avoid the headache of manually finding all of these mods to re download them if possible lmao Edited November 1, 2020 by passag3

Did you go to the VERSION column in the MOD tab, and select UPDATE AVAILABLE from the dropdown?
passag3
Yes! it says This table is filtered, showing 0/194 items.
SpookaXX
This happened to me. Despite Vortex recognising the mod and even taking me to the mods page it just would not show updates.
HadToRegister
Probably a bug that needs to be fixed in the next update, because updates are working for me, because I'm using Vortex 1.2.20I have auto update turned off in Vortex
Pickysaurus
Probably a bug that needs to be fixed in the next update, because updates are working for me, because I'm using Vortex 1.2.20 I have auto update turned off in Vortex Unlikely, I've just tested and 1.3.15 can detect updates just fine. It's more likely the mod itself doesn't have the Nexus Mods metadata filled in.

I may have missed something that is causing them to not update as expected, I have not installed and enabled any of these mods yet since updating. I decided to test it on Wet and Cold and upon doing so the mod successfully detected updates and offered me to update it. Do the mods need to be enabled and installed for it to work correctly? Solution Pickysaurus Posted November 2, 2020 Solution Share Posted November 2, 2020 I believe Vortex only checks the installed mods (enable/disabled is unimportant). You may want to click a single mod, then press Ctrl + A to select all mods. On the multi-action toolbar that appears at the bottom, click "Guess IDs", this will tell Vortex to try and fill in any missing metadata about these mods.
