niravair
I'll take this opportunity Drohung, to rectify my own comment and say that your Drake Fireheart drawing is amazing, and more than just a comfortable style to me personally, (although it really is) I think it looks like you feel very comfortable with it too. I'm very happy when artists can enjoy their own work. You're very good at what you're doing, and their legs match closely enough with UBR legs that the connection is super easy to see. Thanks, I really do appreciate your words! Fun fact: the legs have no relation to UBR! I used some example proportion sheets to make sure I did the legs right, as so many (including me in the past) do them horribly wrong.Where'd you get these proportion sheets? Sounds like I could use them as well. Unless you drew them, in which case, they'd still be helpful.
NyteKitsune
Helloooooooo, everyone! Drohung here! Sorry for my longish absence! My birthday came and went, I got a job, my computer almost broke, and my cousin's in town. I've been BUSY. I learned how to do digital art and drew my DnD character as well! http://fav.me/d8vjp5m Anyways, I couldn't do UBR, and I'm getting back on it tomorrow! Right now I'm on my lunch break at work and using my mobile phone. More good news: I'm buying a new computer, backed up all my Skyrim stuff a few times, and will have a very high performance gaming machine ready to increase the quality of UBR textures, and I've prepped a few already done UBR treats in the mod, which is almost done, with only a few more armies to do! Gotta go cut more meat, I'll be back in the thread (and doing UBR) at 9:00, streaming my work! See you all then!Nice drawing, I like it, looks good, My work is usually at least that good. Have yet to do anything digital though.. I just pencil it, then ink it, the take a photo of it with my phone and upload to my PC, then edit it with MS Paint (have yet to buy anything like Paint Shop). Thanks, but "at least that good" has me a bit twitchy. Are you saying you're better than me? I hope not, because it pisses me off when artists self declare themselves better than others, when they might not be in the slightest (not saying you aren't good, just example). Sorry if I'm being a bit pissy about that, but it got me a good bit riled up. Edit: After looking at your DA and calming myself, Nyte, I have to say that I think we're about the same skill level, with our main difference being our tools. I used a higher-end tablet and Photoshop for that drawing. I really should make a better background. Also, Drohung and Nyte have a lot in common I came to realize, as Drohung's alternate form is, in fact, a fox, although his main is dragon. Funny how that works, yeah? Nice, two-of-a-kind, I originally thought "Wolf" at first as when I originally created Nyte I had just started playing D&D (around 85-86) and saw the Werewolf listing and thought "Yeah.. 1/2 Dragon 1/2 werewolf", later I changed it to Werefox and changed his name as well, Nyte was first known as "Tauran the Spellbinder" a 1/2 dragon-1/2 werewolf-elf, Fighter-Mage. I eventually retired him and only recently renamed him "Nyte" when I realized that that was really a silly name for a Fox/Dragon and he needed something that'd work for him no matter his race, Nyte worked and suited him and so now every game I play either MMO or just stand alone there is a Nyte present. So far he's in Skyrim (Argonian), SWToR (Cathar), STO (Caitian), Champions Online (Anthro Fox with Wind powers), DCUO (Fox'ish looking, forget what powers I gave him), ESO (Argonian), DBZ Xenoverse (Freiza's Race), and Blood Bowl (Two incarnations, Lizard Man and Werewolf on a Necromantic Team). Nyte is... everywhere!!! *says in a spooky voice*... Muahahahahaha!!!! *evil laughter* Yeah, you saw my best drawings 2 on DA, Adventurers (Which I need to add color to) and Reaper, which I fear to add color to as it's an entirely different art style and I was never good adding color to that style of art (and MS Paint sucks). I rarely do work like Reaper anymore as it takes far too much time adding in all that detail, I think my total time on Reaper was 3-4 days, where it only took me 3-6 hours on each of my "Furry" art. Helps that the "Furry" style is more like cell shaded characters and thus easier to color by using layering techniques for the shading (Got the idea from my old miniature painting days, used to pain Battletech, D&D, Warhammer 40k and Bloodbowl minis) wish I still had the best mini I did, a suit of Clan Elemental armor painted to match a piece of Artwork in one of the books with the head cowl as a falcon head, but my buddy Joe last had that mini and I haven't seen him since "2000". So yes, we seem to be the same level as far as artwork goes. Wouldn't mind trying digital art though, but can't afford to go get a proper tablet for that and the corresponding programs for my PC, still, the old fashioned way works for me. P.S. I did have one other piece of art that was incredible, using Paint Shop Pro back in 93, It was an Airbrushed Winged Heart that admittedly was a total fluke, It looked good overall and then I tried some random smoothing option and suddenly it looked perfect, the feathers looked soft and downy, no sharp edges. I used it as a unit emblem for Mechwarrior games, then one day my idiot of a roommate found the disc it was saved on and copied over it, sadly I had yet to save a copy of it and have never been able to reproduce it. I have a penciled version of it that looks nice, and even made it for Forza Horizon on XBox 360 (Along with some other really cool ones like a Garfield theme and Finding Nemo one) sadly didn't save any of that either, lol, I'll just remake them even better "If" they ever put those games on the PC. So far no games like that are for the PC though. Edit: You draw wings better than I do, I can never draw them the way they look in my mind. By the time they reach the paper I usually look it it, then smack myself for not lightly drawing it in first, crumple it and draw something else, wings and modern settings have to be the 2 things I hate trying to draw the most. Trees.. Birds.. flowers.. grass.. no problem.. Dragon Wings/City scapes.. No way!. :P Edited June 9, 2015 by NyteKitsune

No, I wasn't able to do it. Speaking of which, until I figure out my job time schedule (They're devouring ALL my time, and I'm hating it), UBR is on hold. Sorry everyone, I'll figure something out. Kavukamari
thread's dead so here's some brain food for you, zootopia's character designs are the kind of beast races i want in a game, discuss (though obviously don't discuss me, discuss your own opinions) Edited June 12, 2015 by Kavukamari
Voldearag
They're okay, which is a big compliment next to every other modern cartoon animal design. They're based on the animals they're named after, for example.http://puu.sh/imHuz/60c284af6a.gif
