theatm
WAV 16Bit 44100Hz - This is the only format useable by Skyrim for voice files. It is correct. Do NOT use GarageBand to record. I don't recommend that at all. Use Audacity.I also use audacity and would recommend it. I was wondering about garage bands quality, I guess you answered that question... But as for recording in higher quality... If I do, when I export it I just do it at the lower 44,100, I don't leave it as such. But the reason I bring it up because I have had headsets before recoding as low as 8,000 Hz before I set them up... So I feel it is a good Idea for him to at least check. Hmm, I use Garage Band for recording my music just because I find it's easier to use than Audacity when dealing with music tracks, person preference. So if I were to use Audacity with my current mic and found better acoustics, would that improve the quality at all or am I kind of boned in terms of voice acting? In my personal opinion I think you sound good, better acoustics still would help though. And also the main benificial thing Audacity will allow you to do is remove that faint static in the background while you are recording. This is using a tool called "Noise Removal" and its benefit when It comes to high quality voice acting is immeasurable!! The only thing I would say that you need to watch out for is when you switch between segments of recording I can hear you either Shuffling around, or Clicking your mouse. I suggest waiting about a second after you're done speaking before even so much as moving, then simply trimming off the excess "Dead" audio. Now please don't think I am ragging on you or nothing, I find myself easily doing the same thing a lot of times... It's almost hard not to do it when you're into character and want to finish the recordings quickly enough so you don't lose it. :]

I make commentaries on YouTube, so I know how to use my natural voice really well. I can somewhat pull off an English/Scottish accent, it's sorta inbetween the two and I can also do an Italian accent. While I'm not fluent in German nor Spanish, I can pronounce words from both languages pretty well.About Me:Voice acting is something I would love to do and I really want to get better at it. I currently have over 7,500 subs on YouTube, but I'm definitely not egotistical about it. I'm a small blimp compared to most people.Demo Reel:https://soundcloud.com/kylethepale/skyrim-voice-acting-demo-reel Edited January 8, 2015 by KyleThePale
