Playable Races:

Nord guard-like voices, mad men, haven't tried so much.

None.

I haven't done any audio editing ever, but it can't be too hard. I hope I'm unique with my mad voice.

This would be the first time I've tried voice acting and I'd love to seek out my boundaries.

None are available at the moment, but I hope some will come very soon.

So I decided to make a Voice Booth for my Mic out of a cardboard and some padding from one of those mattress toppers... To summarize how it works... AMAZINGLY!!

I recorded this narration using the Studio Box, and believe it or not this is how the raw audio sounds without any noise reduction... I'm impressed!! https://soundcloud.com/trollfacetheman/before-narration

Playable Races:
Nord, Imperial, High Elf, Khajiit.

Can also be Argonian and Dunmer, though not as honed as the others.

Experience:
Starting out, but do have some experience in doing voiceovers for radio. I've had a knack for accents and voices my entire life though, just yet to put it to any considerable professional use.

Skills:
Very resonant voice that can traverse a fair few octaves, though I don't fair well with particularly high voices; I'm more suited to mid-range and deeper ones.

As far as real-world accents go - and ones that can be applied to Tamriel's races - my forte is in British, Irish, Scandinavian, American, Middle Eastern and Spanish voices.

About Me:
At the moment I just want to get stuck in to some proper character voice-acting, so I'm game for trying out anything and everything you might require of me.

Voice Samples:
None to hand at the moment, but will put up some of my radio work soon™

I'm here to make a request for a voice actress, who can do some light, voluntary voice work for me. I am considering installing PC Exclusive Voice Path for Skyrim, and would really like to give my character, a young Breton enchantress, a truly unique voice. The extent of the recordings would only really need to include the shouts, and other bits for combat, with the possibility of additional voice samples for use with Additional Player Voices. Upon completion, all content would be made available on the Nexus, with full credit given to the actress, provided that authorization for distribution is given. I accept PMs regarding this, and if you want to record a sample, just give me your best "Fus Ro Dah!" :)

So sadly I have had two really amazing voice actors completely fall through and fail to deliver or respond to many many attempts to communicate, so I am coming back to the well in hopes of finding more folks for a few key roles for Legacy of the Dragonborn. I am hoping that I can get these done in the next couple weeks as I have been dragging the voice part of this out way too long. Below are the characters I am looking for and a blurb you can record for audition purposes if you so desire. Otherwise if you already have a sample that sounds pretty close to what you would do for this character, that would work too. Thanks.

Professor Patero Marassi

mid 50's looking Bosmer Male

Marassi is a field archeologist who worked with Auryen (the museum curator) several decades ago and turned down the relic hunter job that Auryen was looking to fill (which the player undertakes). Marassi is a friendly yet somewhat rough around the edges man with a vocal quality similar to Esbern. He likes to make occasional jokes or kid around with the player. Marassi is being recruited as the chief archeologist for the explorer's society guild.

"Oh? And what makes you sure I'd be interested to begin with?... Hold on, I was only having a little fun with you, of course I'm interested. I'll go pay old Auryen (AU RE EN) a visit at the museum, it will be nice to get to work with him again, and you as well. See you later on."

Madras

late 30's Dunmer Male

Madras is a HUGE dwemer geek. He's also a little bit insane; completely harmless but just eccentric enough to make everyone raise their eyebrows when he says something out of place. He's very clever and quite intelligent and generally doesn't like being in the open outdoors (preferring to be indoors researching dwemer or trolling around ruins). Madras is being recruited as a member of the explorer's guild. You can see voice samples for Madras already in place in Legacy of the Dragonborn, but the voice actor fell on difficult times and cannot do the remaining half of the dialog. I'm looking for a pretty quirky voice quality and not something typical by any means, so maybe try a couple variants to see what sticks.

"Oh the curator spoke of me? Nothing good I hope... err I mean, nothing BAD, I hope?... Well that all sounds very exciting, it would be nice to get to see some more ruins up close again, I think I'll go for it, thanks for the invite guildmaster."

Latoria

Mid 20's Khajiit Female

Latoria dropped out of the winterhold college because she had trouble learning from books and practice. She has a somewhat unique learning method that requires she seek out areas of Ley energies deep within ruins in order to commune with the sources of Magicka, but she's a bit of a coward and can't venture into those places alone. When told of the explorer's guild she excitedly joins. Latoria has already been voiced by me, but I'm not a very good sound engineer so all my self recorded voices for the most part are pretty quiet and I cannot seem to get the amplification up. So... I'm looking for a replacement voice artist who better knows what they are doing.

"Oh yes, something very interesting indeed. Latoria was with Professor Marassi the other day exploring a nordic burial ruin and Latoria discovered an incantation that can reverse the age of an object. She discovered that using this on ruined books could allow her to read some of the pages before they fall to ash. So Latoria is thinking that if you brought her enough books, she could transcribe a new copy. Exciting no?"

That's about it for now. I may have another character or two that needs work but I'll post about those later on. Thanks.

Molag Bal's Inferno

Deadline for auditions is August 26th.

A MOD is a modification to the base game.

Myself and several others (Elianora, darren, BigBizkit, JoyTrooper, simsim, horrorgun, etc.) are making a mod for Skyrim for the 4th r/SkyrimMods reddit modding contest: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/3h07rn/skyrim_modding_contest_4_dungeons/

Our mod is called Molag Bal's Inferno. The role we are casting for is Virilya, a female Dunmer/Dark Elf. Her voice should be that of a normal woman, around age 25-40. In the mod, you will have to portray a wide array of emotions WELL. It's very important that there be emotional resonance with the quest, and Virilya's voice acting is a very large part of that. There will be disturbing parts (some screaming, descriptions of her awful past), as she currently is undead and resides in a place that is essentially hell. However, her voice remains that of a normal living being, and she is corporeal (flesh and bone) during the mod.

The following are the audition lines - we don't have too much voice direction, just female, 30s, able to portray emotion well and high quality mic and recording environment. Wing it and send in as many takes as you want. Please email takes to [email protected].

- Our old champion has grown weak, and tired. The Inferno yearns for new champion, one who will rule this place when they perish. *Normal voice*

- Let it play out, champion. *Distraught, horrified* Just... let it play out, or we never leave. *Resigned, incredibly sad* (For reference, here, she has to relive one of her "hells", where she left her sister to fight in the war and her sister was murdered - she has to witness it)

- Do it, champion! *bold, strong, verge of yelling* My soul is already bound to Molag Bal for eternity. Do not damn yourself as well. (Molag Bal, sort of like the Devil, who she sold her soul to, is asking the player to kill her)

If you are cast for the role, you will need to record FAST AND RELIABLY. There are 100-200 lines. This is a contest with a time limit. It ends on September 14th, and we will need the voice files by September 10th or earlier, but NO LATER. Because of this, the person cast for the role will be paid 75$ by Darren once ALL the lines are sent in and completed. Usually VA for mods is volunteer work, but female VAs are notoriously hard to find AND we really need this to be on time, so... incentive. :)
