Plug ins tab missing (1.3.22)

Hi there,

I am trying to mod Skyrim SE, I have around 30 mods installed. (I previously had no problems running them all.) I am running on a Windows x64 machine.

It would seem that the plug-ins tab is missing in Vortex.

This error occurred when attempting to install mods for a different game: Monster Hunter World. I installed two separate drivers, as suggested in Stracker's Loader.

x86: vc_redist.x86.exe

x64: vc_redist.x64.exe

Then I installed three mods: Stracker's Loader and two others. Upon reading further instructions, It seems I was not to use Nexus to do this, and manually place things into folders ect. After learning this, I decided it would be best not to pursue something I deemed over my head, and I uninstalled the two drivers and the mods, uninstalled Monster Hunter, and it works just fine no longer being managed by Vortex.

So what does this have to do with Skyrim?

Well now there is no plug-in tab in Vortex.

Upon launch, I get a notification stating, "some of the installed extensions couldn't be loaded because they have missing dependencies."

After I click fix, I get a red notification saying, "Failed to install extension: gamebryo-plugin-management"

Then I hit "more," and I get this: "The extension "gamebyro-plugin-management" wasn't found in the repository. This might mean that the extension isn't available on Nexus at all or has been excluded for compatibility reasons. Please check the installation instructions for this extension ."

So I went into my extensions and had a look. It turns out quite a few of them refuse to turn on, even after manually clicking the button and restarting multiple times.

The following Extensions are listed as "Disabled," which then switch to "Failed" after attempting to switch them on and restart Vortex:

Gamebyro Ba2 Support

Gamebyro Bsa Support

Gamebyro Plugin Indexlock

Gamebyro Plugin Management

Gamebyro Savegame Management

Ok. So here is a list of the things I have tried so far.

1. The obvious stuff: Restarting my computer, restarting vortex, uninstalling vortex, trying older versions of Vortex, going back to the latest version of Vortex, uninstalling and reinstalling/redownloading both games (Monster Hunter World and Skyrim SE).

2. I have redownloaded "x64: vc_redist.x64.exe"

3. I have gone through the files to make sure they are still there following this path, as described by someone trying to resolve a similar issue:

C:\Program Files\Black Tree GamingLtd\Vortex\resources\app.asar.unpacked\bundledPlugins\gamebyro-plugin-management\esptk\nbind.node

The "nbind.node" was there, so I am not missing any files?

Any help would be greatly appreciated; I'm really stumped on this one!

Here are my Vortex logs. (In order from most recent to least recent)

Thanks in advance, just ask if you need any other information!

You shouldn't uninstall VC Redistributions

The reason I was doing this was because it was interfering with my current audio setup (apollo twin).

I've reinstalled them, restarted, and I am still seeing the same thing.

Did you turn off your antiVirus and reinstall Vortex?

No need to uninstall, just install over it.

Just gave it a shot, no luck.

They just say, "some of the extensions couldn't be loaded because they have missing dependencies" and then say, "failed to install extension" after hitting "fix."

They do this every time after trying to restart after trying to enable them.

As far as giving a reason after double clicking says they depend on one of the other extensions that are also disabled.

AND SOLVED

Thank you so much!

So it turns out that the one that the handful of them depend on must have gotten turned off somehow. After finding out which one that was and turning it on/restarting Vortex, I was able to turn on the rest of them no problem.

Thanks again! It's working.
