Breogonal Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 Today I was trying to find out what was wrong with one of the mods I was using (Figured out the problem, a bit too late) And suddenly my game started crashing.I disabled a bunch of mods and still couldn't figure out the issue, so I used a dumb mod manager called loot hoping it could help me determine if some mods were incompatible with others, that didn't work so I uninstalled it and tried installing the new skse. That didn't work, and at some point it was saying a lot of my mods I hadn't disable were off, and now even after enabling all of my mods, I go into my game, try to load up my save, and it says ALL of my mods aren't working. I tried making a new character and low and behold, the mods really aren't working. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Breogonal Posted March 4, 2021 Author Posted March 4, 2021 Sorry, the topic SHOULD say My Mods are enabled in Vortex.
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted March 4, 2021 Community Manager Posted March 4, 2021 Make sure your mods are deployed and that the plugins are enabled in the plugins section. Also, LOOT is built into Vortex so you don't need the standalone application.
Breogonal Posted March 4, 2021 Author Posted March 4, 2021 I've deployed mods, made sure vortex was using the right file location, uninstalled and reinstalled both skyrim and vortex then made sure the skse was still in the skyrim files, But no matter what I do it acts like vortex and the mods aren't even installed.I'm not sure what else to do at this point. Do you think I might've installed skse wrong?I followed think instructions but I saw a video where somebody put the data folder in the mod loader instead.

Quote SKSE install [ Installation ] 1. Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Skyrim SE directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder under Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\. If you see files named SkyrimSE and SkyrimSELauncher, this is the correct folder. Do not copy these files to the Data folder as with a normal mod. The "src" folder is only useful for programmers, most users can ignore it. 2. Copy the .pex files in Data\Scripts\ into the Data\Scripts\ folder of your installation. The .pex files are needed by all users of SKSE.

Breogonal Posted March 5, 2021 Author Posted March 5, 2021 I saw that when I went to my dashboard, when I clicked it it booted up the game, now it's not there anymore.Either way, even after booting it up that way, the mods still weren't working.

YOu didn't say whether you ENABLED the mods on the Mod and Plugin Tab. Also, this doesn't make any sense at all "I followed think instructions but I saw a video where somebody put the data folder in the mod loader instead."
