monesq
This is my Red Rocket build. I am also seeing this in other settlement builds, but not to this extent. Last night when I was at Bunker Hill the distortion made the game unplayable. As set forth in the title, is the attached picture an example of screen tearing?? I have built this area up extensively with lots of clutter as I am thinking about loading some blueprints. I am using a mod that increases your build limits. I have an above average rig with plenty of RAM and SSD space. https://imgur.com/a/jwEDEJ5
HadToRegister
Possibly, but screen tearing happens while you're turning or moving, and you can see part of the screen not quite keeping up with the other halfWhat it looks like you've got there is a texture and/or mod error
monesq
Thank you for the input. It does happen when I am turning around. It distorts and when I look down to the ground and SLOWLY look up, the screen is normal. Only happens when I look at a certain direction while turning my character. Very frustrating. I thought is was because of the large settlement build, but I have seen blueprints with a lot more items than in my settlement. I am considering enabling Vsync to see if that helps. OK, yea, that sounds like it. So what happens if you turn on Vsync?Because Vsync is what prevents screen tearing
monesq
That is my next step. I just found out today by researching that this may be screen tearing. If Vsync does not work, I will have to uninstall all my texture mods. If that does not work, my next step will be to go to the troubled settlements and remove all clutter. Still does not explain what happened at Bunker Hill however if Vsync does not help (Bunker Hill has always been a problem, even if you do not build anything there!). I will update this once I run some tests. I thought I had upgraded my rig to prevent video issues. Thanks for responding. I do appreciate your input.
