JimboUK
The footage from EA that didn't look very good anyway was prerendered, something they forgot to mention when showing it. http://www.polygon.com/2013/5/21/4353886/ea-sports-ignite-trailer-xbox-one-reveal-pre-rendered-assets more news, the HDD is non-user-serviceable. meaning you can't take the HDD out without voiding the warranty and taking the whole damn thing apart. I'm sure Microsoft will sell people hard drives for twice the price of standard ones.
Thor.
Wasn't there a lawsuit with the creators of Aliens colonial marines or something in the lines of pre render footage?? http://kotaku.com/lawsuit-claims-aliens-colonial-marines-used-false-adve-486156960 hmmm?? Anyways I am not the least bit interested in the new poorly named console which is the xbox one. Edited May 22, 2013 by Thor.
demidekidasu
BBC News article -http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-22620039 Seems to have a flavour somewhat in support of the thing... Maybe I'm not reading it right (not slept last night lol), but BBC News used to be better than this I swear. It's not the first time I've seen BBC News fail to mention enough on the criticism end of the spectrum in recent times. Started going off-topic a bit there, my bad... JimboUK
The BBC replaced anyone who knew what they were doing years ago, they also have an unhealthy relationship with Microsoft, they've not even mentioned the TV stuff doesn't work in the UK. eldav
So ohmm, correct me if im wrong but microsoft wants you to buy the console, wants to you to buy games and mandatory allways on = infinit money !since xbox live is a paid service wouldnt that mean that you must pay the monthly fee inorder to play your game ?Again correct me if im wrong,
demidekidasu
Hmm... A possibility, and an intriguing concern to raise, but I can't see even Microsoft doing something quite THAT mental if I'm honest lol Maybe the next console after "One" though, seeing that it is becoming seemingly worse and worse for the consumer all the time :P
Lisnpuppy
Valve must be having an absolute giggle right now. Settled it for me; I'm going to buy a small form-factor PC and chuck it behind my TV. Needed one for LAN parties anyway. Will put Steam on it, use the big screen mode, link up my current 360 controllers and continue to laugh at all the console idiots. Has Facebook/Twitter/Skype/Netflix/Sky Sports/phone app support built in as well! PC gamers continue to be the master race. Thank god.My husband and I were talking about this last night. You can get a decent laptop for what these things cost. My daughter has one already so get the boys one (well have their grandmother get them one :P ) and then hook them all into the Big Picture on Steam. Most of the games they like are on there anyway eventually. I mean half the fun was to play with your friends, right? Now they make it next to impossible to do so. Seriously I have not heard anything good for gamers on this. As far as the TV I read it works just like Google TV and pretty much like the old Microsoft tv thing. Its really for live tv and how many of us watch much live tv unless its a sporting event. There was a good article on this but I saw it on Pulse and now I can't remember.....
