Menchi9873
I'm currently trying to migrate my mod manager from MO2 to Vortex. After reconfiguring the Vortex download folder to a different folder than the one containing the Game, I immediately imported the mods from MO2 to Vortex, then moved the compressed mods that were omitted from the import to the Vortex download folder after deleting the META data from MO2. It is natural that these self-moved mods do not link well with the Nexus mods, as they were not downloaded from Nexus through the proper procedure, and the version update information is not displayed properly, or the name of the mod is wrong. In MO2, clicking the QueryInfo button almost always solved the problem, but in Vortex, the link doesn't seem to work, even when I go to the "Download" screen and click the "QueryInfo" button. Is there any way to properly link these mods to Nexus?I'd like to be able to do this without having to manipulate each mod individually...Thank you for your help! Guest deleted34304850
you can select all these mods with no meta data and click "guess id" and see if that works, but if they didn't come from nexusmods, then there will obviously be no detail of them on the nexusmods server. Menchi9873
Thanks for the replies. I've followed your advice and there are definitely a lot of mods that I've gotten from Nexus that I'm not able to link the information to. I understand that QueryInfo works by using the ID in the filename of the mod, but the mods I'm having problems with in my environment have the proper ID. Do you know of an operation that works for these files?
Guest deleted34304850
can you give a mod that doesnt return meta information from nexus mods please?
Zanderat
If "guess ID" doesn't work, then you need the Nexus file number. Usually it part of the download name. Another place that you can get it is from URL on the Nexus page for said mod. Enter it on the right hand pane that opens when double click on the mod's name in Vortex. Pickysaurus
Did you use the "Import from MO" tool available in the mods tab? It does most of this for you.
