  2. Reportedly, 1.6 changes the Fallout.esm, so you'd have to have a back up of that as well as the old Fallout.exe to revert to 1.5. Saves should be in "My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves" so just backup or move that folder somewhere else.

  4. The good news is that if you're willing to wait for GotY edition, you'll be able to get FO3+DLCs for $50 (which is basically like a half-off sale). The bad news is what to do with your original FO3 disc. I've been telling people lately to hold off on buying FO3 till GotY comes out.
  5. Dunwich has a creepy name, and I could see it giving you some starts, but I find it more amusing than creepy. The Dot's Diners you see in DC are a lot creepier than Dunwich.
  6. Nothing in this game is all that creepy. More depressing than anything else. If I had to say what the creepiest was, I guess it would have to be the first time I found Pres. Eden at RR. That was just wrong in all kinds of ways.

  9. One thing you could do is add a special type of door to that room and give it a script that adds the package whenever the player activates the door (like the door to Moriarty's), and use the "Continue if PC near" flag. Or you could make it disable/enable the NPC like Moriarty's door does.

  11. If you can't see the Task Manager, you need to keep in mind the keyboard combinations: Ctrl-Alt-Del F Alt-E Y I always use the keyboard even if I can see it, just so I remember it.
  12. Well, that just makes me glad I skipped the Pitt, regardless of its great artwork. If that's the best their writers can do, then it's probably a case of too many chefs spoiling the dish. The obvious solution to the problem (the mill and its inherent difficulties) is to either sabotage and/or destroy the mill or leave the mill alone if you wanted to be neutral. That might explain why people complained about the quests being too short, as well. It's just that kind of lack of freedom that I dislike about Tenpenny Tower, You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head, Trouble on the Homefront, and Rescue from Paradise (not to mention most of the main quests after Tranquility Lane).
  13. I don't remember exactly. I tend to sell all my "trophies" when I'm done with them. ;D I seem to recall some house mods that have trophy cases and places like that.
  14. The RP elements do tend to be way over the top (like when speaking to Gob the first time), but that just makes the game more like a game. Too much "grey" area will leave you with a game that ignores obvious solutions and makes a less satisfying experience for most players. I don't know much about the Pitt, but if you ask people what's wrong with it, they will invariably tell you that nothing you do ultimately seems to matter. On the other hand, they love the so-called "moral ambiguity"? This sounds to me like a contradiction. If you really want your decisions to matter, then you're going to have to have an really big effect, and that is going to make things a lot better or a lot worse. I'm guessing the Pitt probably appeals more to neutral-type players, but neutrality basically does mean leaving things the way they are and being content with that (which most people are not).

  16. I think the house mods (especially vaults and Megaton house mods) tend to sometimes have trophy cases included.
  17. If you look at the GECK wiki, it does say that once the NPC evp's, the package will be removed. The "must complete" flag will make it finish the package, but you'll then need to do a RemoveScriptPackage later. http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/AddScriptPackage
  18. I don't think Bethesda has anything to do with Havok, and the main engine is actually Gamebryo (both FO3 and GECK use Gamebryo).   19. I'd just like to say that I don't mind people *asking* for votes, because that tells me that they are confident that they deserve it. To a certain extent, that tells me that maybe they do deserve it because it invites me to judge it all the more closely (and if I find it merits a vote, then I'll vote for it). I don't want to vote for something where even the author doesn't want me to vote for it, and I don't really expect everyone to want me to vote for their files. In fact, I think we should encourage people who want votes to give us several reasons why we should give them a vote, and tell us about themselves and the efforts that went into the file they made, etc. That would certainly help me cast my vote, and it would naturally encourage more people to vote.
