  1. The credits say, in fairly large text, "Thank you to the wonderful members of ____ for the support showed along the journey of creating this mod." It's not exactly unnoticeable, so I'm wondering what the policy on this is- I know you aren't supposed to mention the site on the forums, but is it the same policy for files themselves?
  2. My WIP, Alton, IL, has a credits video that will roll at the end. In these credits, I thank a site that I have heard we are not allowed to discuss here. Will the file be allowed to be uploaded, or is it going to be taken down once people start noticing this site in the credits? EDIT: Let me clarify, since some people are taking this the wrong way- I'm not asking to get away with something. I'm only questioning the way a rule works. I simply want to know whether or not the file extends to files as well. It's not to promote that site, it's only to say thank you.
  3. Awesome! I'll have to ask the author if I can use his models, but the description does say "various forms of destruction." Thanks! Nevermind, he says everyone is free to use them.
  4. I need somebody to make me a dead corn stalk model, which will be used in an area in Alton based on a farm that existed in the 50's. The mesh itself wouldn't have to be ultra-detailed or anything. A low polycount would actually be better, since I'm going to arrange it all into a nice, organized static collection with a ton of corn stalks. The only variation I think I would need is one that looked as if it was broken at the stem. I'm great in the GECK but have no modding or texturing skills, so I'm reaching out to you guys. EDIT: Also, it wouldn't have to have collision.
  5. Ah, that makes more sense :P . Anyway, I'm currently tied up with Alton, so again, good luck!
  6. Not that I've heard of. I would recommend in metro tunnels that you head in the general direction of the marker. Also, use the local map if you aren't already.
  7. Yup- and it's "only" taken a year and a half :P . Thanks for the comment!
  8. 70+ interiors? I'm sorry, but that's a ridiculously large request. Best of luck in your project, though.
  9. New trailer for everybody. Yes, this is still in development, and I'm growing ever-closer to release. I would recommend watching it in HD for full epicness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iByg_yZOk84 Also, I recently crunched some numbers and realized that the Alton wasteland has twice as much explorable area as Point Lookout. Yay!
  10. Haha, you're the first person so far that's actually lived in Alton that I've met on here or on F3Underground. Hopefully you'll recognize a few landmarks when it's released. Thanks! :)
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4z-9Ho0TO4 New trailer! I'd recommend going to the page and watching in HD- it looks way better. And no, this isn't dead.
  12. Awesome  . So will you have time to do the grain silo we talked about a few months ago?
  13. I was talking some friends of mine about how cool it would be to see a Fallout mod set in Alton, and joking around about making it myself. They basically said, "Yeah, right." I decided to prove them wrong, planning on spending a couple months on it. As I got better at modding and learned scripting, I expanded my goals and wound up with the huge project I have now. By the time it's done, it will have taken over a year to complete  . Another driving force was other canceled or disappointing large-worldspace mods. Canada (which was a while ago) and some others I won't mention inspired me to keep going and to not give up. I really hope you guys won't be disappointed. The Main Quest is pretty crazy- there's a huge decision that you make about halfway through that determines what you spend the whole rest of the MQ doing, and who you spend your time with during your stay at Alton. The world is looking to be the biggest in the modding community so far (I don't have a comparison to the Wasteland right now), and there will be a lot of interiors to explore. The main goal is getting it up to Bethesda's standards, without all of their trademark floating rocks  . Got quite a few good voice actors so far, but I'm always looking for more!
  14. Just remembered I had a topic on the Nexus Forums. For those of you who are a member of F3Underground, you might have been following my topic there. Just so you guys know, this isn't dead. I'm still working on it. I've updated the first page with all the new info, and here's some new screenshots I've posted since then: Wilderness More wilderness Even more wilderness The second major city I also made a trailer (watch in 1080p!). Just wanted to catch everyone up on everything and to let you know I haven't abandoned it.
  15. Darnified UI After it's activated, pause the game and change your settings from the "DUI" option.
  16. I know someone is doing a ton of ME and ME2 stuff over on F3Underground. I'm over there more than I am here so I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's only on F3Underground.
  17. Nevermind, found out a different model was very similar, except it had a retaining wall. Someone on F3Underground removed it and the collisions for me. :)
  18. But the problem I see happening is that the Player's head bobs around when running in 3rd person, which would make it look glitchy.
  19. That's the main flaw of Fallout 3- no pistol-whip or other melee attacks. Would definitely make a great mod.
  20. It'd be really simple, just a matter of going in and adding one NPC to the raider list. I might do it if I have time, but then again I'm busy working on Alton of course. We'll see ;) .
  21. I need the object "HighwayBeltwayInterchange01" flipped around, to where the curve is on the opposite side of the highway. I believe I could flip the textures, as that would be really simple. I don't have any modelling program and no experience using any, so I can't do the other half. I'm sure 3DS Max or Blender has to have some sort of flip function. The model is located here: Architecture\Wasteland\Highway\HighwayBeltwayInterchange01.NIF Thanks! EDIT: Crap, this should be in Modification Requests. Reporting...
  22. I think it would work best as a perk that can be gained at a high-ish level, like 16 or something. I would make it, but I'm still very busy working on Alton, IL.
