  1. You should install Oblivion to C:Games on Vista or 7. Your saved games will not be erased, and will still be put in the same place. You can copy your Oblivion Folder before you "reinstall the game" and just merge the folders when you are done.All of your mods will still be installed. You may need to modify some of your desktop icons to point to the new location of Oblivion.EDIT P.S. How do you know the mod is not working? Did you kill a female bandit and loot her armor? The mod just changes the female bodies and not the clothing or armor. You will be wanting a clothing replacer for Exnem, but you could upgrade to HGEC and use an HGEC replacer instead.I will recommend Eve as a replacer for HGEC because it is an OMOD already, and when you decide to add an overhaul like OOO or FCOM the esp's for compatabilityare already available.
  2. The companions in vanilla are more of an annoyance,especially the Adoring Fan. There are quite a few companion mods available.CM Partners creates various npc's around Cyrodill that can join your party. Companion Share and Recruit allows you to recruit almost anyone in Oblivion into your party,even Martin.There are also many mods that have individual companions that can be accessed through quests like Ruined Tails Tale or Companion Neeshka. Advanced Companions can allow you to create a "clone" of your character as you get ready to leave the Imperial Prison Sewer.I will admit that I use CM Partners for making gaurds for my houses and as "filler" for inns and Taverns.
  3. If you have Microsoft Word you can use the .doc files included in CM Partners 2.0 OMOD. They are inside your Oblivion\Data and tell you exactly how to make a custom CM Partner.
  4. Where did you purchase the download? Is it from Steam or Direct2Drive? What kind of Operating System do you have XP,Vista, or 7? This information is important to know. If you have the D2D version you can not use OBSE. You will need to install Steam differently on a Vista or 7 system.

  8. You can create the folder manually. in the Oblivion\Data folder create a new folder called OBSE. Create a folder inside of the OBSE folder called Plugins. You then place the files inside of the Plugins folder.EDIT I use J-zip I could create an install path for a plugin for my game that is C:Games\Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins and the files would automatically be installed where they are supposed to go because J-zip will create the new folders for me.
  9. You could install Oblivion Mod Manager or Wrye Bash and launch the game with either of these programs instead of the default. If you are going to be adding mods to Oblivion learning how to use both utilities early is a good option anyways. I use a shortcut to Wrye Bash to start my game, and I have access to BOSS,OBMM, and the CS from Wrye Bash.
  10. You need to make the "play" on the oblivion launcer use the OBSE exe instead of the Oblivionlauncher.exe. It sounds like you have pinned the OBSE launcher to the desktop icon instead of the menu options that are brought up when you click on the desktop icon.
  11. The saved games are stored in C:Users\"name of user"\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves. You just place the save inside the saves folder.
  12. DMC Stylish Animation Replacer (TESNexus php?id 16459) has the over the shoulder for two handed weapons when you have the weapon drawn and are walking around.
  13. Could you be a little more specific, because any weapon with "of voltage" or "dynamo" does perform a soul trap spell also. Does the Staff of Thunderbolts also have a soul trap spell? Do weapons with "shock" also have soul trap spell? Voltag has a shock spell and a weakness to shock. I am not sure about the Ebony and Daedric "of storm" enchantments.
  14. I do not know how to create a link, but log in to TESNexus, pick a mod and on your internet browser you will see a number at the end of the address, just change the number to 5296 and press go.

  16. Which specific sexy walk mod and idle replacer are you reffering to? Animations and idles are both installed in Data\Meshes\characters\ _male, but animation is animated. usually an idle does not move. For example a BBB walk will bounce while your character is waliking, but when you stand still there are no animations happening.An idle that goes with the standing still pose just allows a "smoother" transition from having the sword in a scabbard to having it equipped on the character. Movement with a sword drawn either reverts to vanilla, or uses another animated kf file from a different mod to supply the motions.
  17. An OMOD is a mod that has been converted to be used by Oblivion Mod Manager(OBMM). An OMOD is a great way to install downloads for Oblivion because everything will be placed where it needs to go to appear in a game.Converting all of your downloads into OMODS is a good habit to get into.It is also easier to hit deactivate on OBMM than manually deleting individual meshes and textures from inside your Data folder when you want to remove a mod.
  18. There are also UOP's for SI and Knights, they are available in an OMOD (TESNexus php?id 9969). Are you currrently using the Bashed Patch, or did you install Wrye Bash to fix your saves? Use the links in Tomlongs Signature (installation guides I think) for instructions on how to activate the Bashed Patch after you have installed the UOP's for Knights and SI. EDIT using quicsaves and autosaves is a bad habit to get into. This week I made a quicksave before pausing my game, the quicksave was glitched because the autosave did not register the fact that I had actually enterd the dungeon on a quest in SI. The only reason I knew it was glitched was because the quest marker was showing green,when it should have been red and my journal was not updated.Just make a new save before a quest is started and when you have finished a quest,unless you are hurting for hard drive space having a large amount of saves is not going to hurt your game and it does make starting over somewhat easier when you die or get a ctd.
  19. You could try using the Unofficial Oblivion Patches,they exist because Oblivion does have quite a few mistakes built in to it.
  20. I realise that I am posting this three hours too late, but using OBMM to convert DR into an OMOD and activating it and the deactivating it is the best way to delete a mod. You may also need to delete your configuration settings in Documents\My Games\Oblivion. The file is called Oblivion. Deleting this will prevent problems caused by changes from DR, but you will need to reset your screen resolution and renable some tweaks like border removal and allowing screenshots.

Unless you have a mod conflicting with the Luggage, like Choices and Consequences, the Luggage is in the rooms for rent of all the vanilla inns, it appears at all of the vanilla camps after you sleep in a bedroll, in Weynon Priory at the top of the stairs on the left. It should appear in every Mages and Fighters Guild. It will also show up in the Shivering Isles, but I am not sure where.It should show up in all of the vanilla houses for sale also. I have used quite a few Cobl dependant house mods and the Luggage may have a requirement like a certain rank in the Fighters Guild before it will show up in many castles.

A mod will be a beta and still be playable,but the author(s) may never release it as a final version.Enough people have downloaded and played FCOM that waiting for the mod to not become a "beta" is causing you to miss out on the fun. The mod is a pain to setup, and you need quite a few patches to make it work with other mods, but it is not dead.
  23. The last is a description of Rens Mystic Elves,but it is included in of most of the cosmetics/race compilations. The second race might be Slofs Playable Xivlai.If you still have your old saved games you could use Wrye Bash to find the mods that you did have installed before.I use Cobl and Cobl Races, but you might be talking about Beautiful People??? If you had a problem with black/googly eyes on vanilla races then it was definitely BP.
  24. You purchase a bust that when dropped onto the ground becomes a mannequin. I have never tried to edit one myself though.
  25. Look inside your hard drive in Oblivion\Data\Meshes once you are inside of meshes there should be no folder named "meshes", this is also true for Textures. Download and install 7-zip or J-zip or use Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) to create OMOD's out of your downloads.I use J-zip and I install all mods in one of many preset install paths that I can pick to install a specific type of mod or utility into my game. My meshes and textures and esp/esm's go into Oblivion\Data, I install OMODS that come in a download into Oblivion\obmm\mods. You just made a mistake everyone makes when first installing mods.I have an older saves folder from 2006/2007 that still has some unzipped downloads installed into it.
