  1. This is a mod conflict caused by a mod other than Korana's mod. A change to Frostcraig Spire will also cause this as well as a badly made mod. You could try adjusting your load order, or using a conflict detector, you can also try deactivating mods one at a time until you find a culprit. Using a utility like BOSS,OBMM or similiar programs can really help in this kind of situation.
  2. I have more problems with modded shops than I do with UL. The only problems UL will cause are already in the game without it, You can get a lower fps around sheep outside of Skingrad and Aleswell. A farm with many animals will cause the same type of lag, but the enhanced landscapes are worth it.The biggest hassle with UL is keeping track of current patches and updates, but this is true for any mod that is a work in progress.
  3. A BSA is just how Bethesda Softworks packaged the meshes, textures, sounds, and most of the data for Oblivion. An esm or an esp makes the information stored inside a BSA file playable in the game. Many mods, especially a cosmetic or race mod require another mod to run properly. The reame for OBMM is inside the "help" button. The "utilities" button will bring up some choices like archive invalidation. I use bsa redirection as my form of archive invalidation. OBMM is also very useful for changing the load order of your active mods! A mod conflict might be the reason the eyes, faces, hairs of Moonshadow Elves are not showing up in your game. The esp that contains the race you want to play should always be the last cosmetic/race mod in your load order. Download and get use to using BOSS to sort your load order. This utility is the best tool available for sorting out load order conflicts, but it is not perfect. There are @ 20,000 mods on TESNexus, and BOSS only keeps track of @ 8,000 total mods. Newer and unrecognised mods need to be sorted by hand using OBMM and common sense/experience.
  4. I would run BOSS or play with the load order using OBMM. Using BOSS and the most current BOSSlog is the best way to make your game run smoother and prevent load order conflicts. Use Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) to change the load orders of newer mods not recognised by BOSS yet, or to try and fix load order conflicts without having to completely redo a known good load order.
  5. Did you go thru the ini line by line or did you just edit the very last setting from a 0 to a 1?
  6. You should try editing or creating Npcs' in the Construction Set to use as companions. You will avoid the dissapearing body parts. You could download some companion mods specifically made to create "eye candy" companions. P.S. You can use a CM partner as a recruitable companion also!
  7. I can not remember if the Ainmhi race is dependant upon Rens cosmetics, but if it is you need to set your dependancy upon Rens for your hairstyles. The hairs for your custom race not showing up may be a cosmetic mod conflict, and not a mistake on your part. Moving your races esp to the bottom of your load order may fix the problem. I may add an edit in an hour or so, I need to look at the Ainmhi race.EDIT Diregard the Rens comments. Esmify the Ainmhi esp and put an x by it when you edit your races esp in the construction set.EDIT 2 To add the hairs to your race select your race in characters\races in the CS. Select Body Data and Move the box to one side. Select Character\Hairs in the CS. This box should have all of the vanilla and Ainmhi hairstyles listed, drag the hairstyles into the "hair styles" list on your races box you have moved to the side. You do eyes the same way, but you use Characters\Eyes to bring up the eyes and you drag them into the "eye colors". Save when you are done and hopefully the hair and eyes will show up in game.
  8. I have a purple shield too, I believe this is a mod problem. On the right side of OBMM you see a button caled utilities,it will bring up a few options and one of them is archive invalidation. You have four options for archive invalidation, bsa redirection works the best for me. Sometimes purple, black invisible objects are caused by the game not being able to use modded items-archive invalidation will allow the correct textures to show up in game.EDIT I had to move the icon to the proper file to get an icon for the shield. I know this is a bad mod and not a problem with your setup.
  9. If you have the two disc Game Of The Year, you already have SI. Install both discs, then you will not need any patch to make your game the 1.20416 version. You can still find the GOTY at Wal-Mart,Best Buy, and many good video game stores. Bethesda Softworks probably sells a downloadable version.
  10. What are you using for archive invalidation in OBMM utilities? I have bsa redirection.
  11. Register for membership in TESNexus if you have not done so already and type ESHMES in search. You have six or seven different mods to choose from. I just think that Eshmes is an older body replacer that has fallen out of popularity and If you are going for sexy and skimpy or running around "natural" you should look at moving body parts like BBB for HGEC,especially if you have seen the vampire videos on Tesseras' website.
  12. No,the Data Folder is usually in C:Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\>>>Data<<<. Download and install Oblivion Mod Manager and use the bsa redirection in utilities OR download and install the Mod called "Archive Invalidation Invalidated"instead of trying to use the method you are describing. If you have Windows Vista or 7 you should really install Oblivion into a folder that is outside of "Program Files" before you start adding mods. I use C:Games\Oblivion. Read the pinned Topic "Oblivion Modding Links" in Oblivion Modifications>General Mod Talk.
  13. If both of the mods are based off of the same Partner "engine" they may not work together. The Readmes for a few other similiar partner mods say this. I am not sure if Rhianna and Sarileth do use the same program to work, but this is probably what is happening to you.EDIT Looked at descriptions for RHianna and Sarileth. You could try the latest version of Rhianna (Rhianna Redux) and see if this will allow you to use both of them together.
  14. I just made a race called Testy. I used Cobl races, Oblivion and Cobl main as the three checked files. I used the box with races to create my race, then I moved the box to the side and clicked on my eyes and added glowing blue eyes and glowing green eyes, I then opened the box with my hairs and added seven of the Rens hairs by dragging the hairstyle to my race. I saved the race as an esp called testy. I placed the esp at the bottom of my load order and loaded a saved game at the sewer exit and changed races. I had only the two eye choices and the seven hair styles usable, but they all worked.I had no "vanilla" choices.Your problem is probably a mod conflict caused by a cosmetic mod. If you create your own race do it on a clean Oblivion with the minimum of mods necessary, and always have your races esp load last.
  15. Have you used BOSS to resort your load order yet? Remember that you will want the most recent BOSSlog as well. One of the two (Stirk or Sutch) has caused a few problems in the past. Make sure you have all of the compatibility patches so the mods will work with what you already had installed when you could play for 45 hours. I am lucky to get more than five hours before I run into a ctd or a mod conflict on my desktop., but I will download mods to see if they will work to help troubleshoot installation problems.
  16. If disc one is installed, then place disc two in your dvd drive, right click to select your dvd drive, left click and use explore to see what is on the disc. Double click on setup.exe and the installation should start. You may be asked if you would like to remove the KOTN and SI first. It cant hurt if you do want a fresh install of the GOTY.
  17. When you install disc one and agree to the EULA you get a window that shows the default install path"C:Program Files\Betheda Softworks\Oblivion" to the right is a button to press to change this. You type in C:Games\Oblivion or C:Games\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion instead. The game will continue to install and most of the DLC's and utilities like OBMM will detect this change and be installed to C:Games. The best part is UAC is still protecting your computer, but will not interfere with the gameplay at all.
  18. More RAM is always a (fairly) cheap upgrade. Have you tried using a program like Streamline? This utility is available on TESNexus and can help older computers run Oblivion better.Oblivion is not a drain on a graphics card as much as it is a memory and processor hog.
  19. Remember to install Oblivion into C:Games instead of C:Program Files.
  20. The mod may not have an esp. If you are using a body replacer then find a clothing and armor replacer that is not as "adult oriented" and overwrite your brothers mistake.Eve is a good choice for HGEC because it is cleaner and it is an OMOD (TESNexus php?id 24078).EDIT If the clothing changes include panties, then look for Colourwheel in the mod title.
  21. You select the esm/esp by clicking on the "folder" in the upper left of the CS, to bring a box that has all of the esm/esp files in your Data folder, you then select the items you wish to modify by clicking on the esm/esp to place an x in the square or by making an esp you wish to modify as an active file.
  22. Either Tessera has been outside of Oblivion for a while, or he has issues with the creators of Bab, Exnem/HGEC,UFF,Growlfs and Roberts bodies. Remember that the readme for his CM partners mod with Raven and Krystal states that the mod cannot be modified with new toys like OBMM, but Wrye Bash can be used to eliminate the dependance on Eshmes clothing and bodies. What mod you have to install to achieve the desired effect depends on which female body replacer you personally prefer. Look at the screenshots on TESNexus and pick the one you prefer, or download them all and convert them to OMODS and test them out one at a time on your computer. When you have decided on a personal favorite then do a search on TESNexus for armor and clothing that work with your chosen body mod.
  23. The question with "aside from the graphics" makes Morrowind the better game. I had crossbows! I could find a daedric weapon just lying in a sewer or a glass dagger hidden in a stump at level one. I did not need a mod to train my character more than five levels in one session, I just needed to be able to afford the training and have the base attribute high enough to allow my character to learn. The Fantasy feeling was definitely alive in Morrowind, I was expecting to be attacked by Harpies when I first played Oblivion.I was expecting Wolves, horses, but where are the Wyverns and Dragons, or an Alit or Sload?
  24. I would definitely check safe mode. The Breasts stretching to infinity is caused by corroneras skeleton not being applied to the game.I am not sure if this is caused by OBMM settings/utilities or a mod conflict caused by load order.EDIT The reason you should install Oblivion or Steam outside of program files is because UAC will not allow mods to work at all if UAC believes they pose a threat to your computer. Turning off UAC will eliminate this problem, but if you go online and someone manages to get a program inside of your computer that records your online banking transactions for a one month period and then sends the information back to them,You will not know it has happened until your bank account is empty and your credit cards are maxed out. The installation of games into a separate folder allows the modded games to work and still gives protection from unauthorised programs installing on your computer. With UAC active a program still needs your permission to install itself.
  25. I am not sure but the problem may be caused by the OBMM default settings, are you using a form of archive invalidation like bsa redirection in OBMM utilities? I have been trying to figure out what changing other settings can do, but I am very nervous about creating havok in my own game.
