  1. Job well done, admins and kudos to you, Dark0ne. It's a very difficult job you all are doing for us, with a great level of expertise. Here, take my money. I'm staying for another round. :)
  2. Well, the truth never hurts (that much) I could only imagine the complexity of it all, but it would be the next step of challenge for the modding community. :) Lets look forward towards TES 6, and hope Bethesda will make it easer for the modders to also include NPC in such mods.
  3. I would love to see this come through :) And if only my Follower(s) just eat and drink (on the go?) and sleep when Player sleep, that would be a big enhancement of the gameplay. Not because its nice to see and so on, but if they don't, it has consequences. (Suffer the stat and attribute losses from hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and cold.) Then stage 2 of the Project would be more close connection between FrostFall (or alike), RD&N (or alike) and Follower Mod (UFO etc) As the OP, I find it strange, that "a deadly blizzard is killing you", and you can leave horses and Followers outside the Inn / Tent etc, without any consequence. They are all eager and happy the next morning, even if the blizzard is still raging. Things I would have ingame: The critical need of sheltering the Follower group. Player needs to have shelter with them to build camp, or check in to an Inn, sleep on bedroll in Player Home etc. Specially if the is bad weather. If not you loose "respect points" and they would leave you and go back to where you met them the first time. (the Jarl etc)The critical need to feed the Follower group. The NPC need to have food and water in inventory so, they eat and drink when they like. A bonus of this is that if Player only give them alcohol, they would drink that too :p. And/or if no basic food/water are presence, they would start nagging the Player, even "poke" the Player with their weapons (?). If not you loose "respect points" and they would leave you and go back to where you met them the first time. (the Jarl etc). Or loots the kill (?). The hand over of food from Player to Follower, could be controlled by a dialogue menu. (The NPC nages, Player answers with "yes, here you go for 1 meal", "yes, here you go for 1 week" and "no, sorry" Or uses the ordinary inventory system to hand over) If you have several Followers, they can have a "spokesperson" so Player gives it to that NPC and all of them gets it.Basic care of the Follower group. Envy, jealousy, traitors, conflict of interest, conflicting believes, etc All this can be a part of the group dynamics, if you have 2 or more Followers. Dialogue and gifts / money would hold the peace in the Group. The Player can be a Leader, and make decisions (Food to NPC A, and not to NPC B, Guard duty, paycheck, bonuses, or if Gamer has an more adult angle of the game; adult favours and services)Even the Horse need care. In North part of Skyrim and in highlands, it needs food and shelter (specially in bad weather) So place a NPC inside every Inn (where its no stable nearby) and Player pays that NPC for caretaker of your horse(s). The stable in towns would otherwise care for the horses. If Thane, it could be free of charges? Farms could maybe also be a place for leaving the horses? On the side: If an NPC is with you for a long time, Player earns a bunch of "Respect-points". But if this trust is broken (by various reasons), the NPC leaves and start roaming Skyrim. Player can search for the NPC by tracking him/her down, by asking other NPC of they have seen your former Follower. Pick up clues, what the NPC likes to do etc, The Innkeepers would be a great source of intel in this kind of quests. All this is not for every Gamer, for sure. So an MCM menu would be great.
  4. In response to post #11679785. Chill :) Nothing wrong with your mods, just a small "tripwire" in v0.47 Nexus staff knows about it, and will fix it.
  5. I got infected yesterday, but it took me an hour, and I was back in the game. Most of us in here know how to use google and follow a simple youtube video on how to remove the malware. Even if it disabled safemode in windows. So what was the hacker thinking? I'll bet it would be more fishes in other web-communities, where questions like "how to change wallpaper" are on the Top-100 list. :) And yes, my AVG are in the doghouse as of now :P
  6. ...or something like: "my abusive husband is back with his drunken gang again. Please rescue me once more". When PC arrives the shack is empty, and you need to search for clues and track them to a nearby cave. And the quest can go on further. But more important is if PC dont wanna accept the new quest, he can pay the courier a coin and send him to the guards of the Helm the quest giver belongs to.
  7. We got it in Oblivion after some time. I guess we get it here as well :)
  8. Backpack would be nice. And with that some sense / rules of volume. A backpack should be available in different sizes and PC can also find/buy extra pocket/slots etc. There should be a time delay (with a nice, short animation in 3rd person, where PC uses the backpack) for taking stuff out of inventory, and into use. PC can roam around, and collect /getter stuff and items. But then the hands are occupied, until its stored into backpack. If the PC needs to draw weapon before "storage", all items in hands will drop to the ground. (extremely skill players can hold stuff in on hand and swing the weapon or cast a spell with the other. All items should be categorized into sizes, and each size could contain certain amount of weight. All smaller sizes can fit into a bigger one, if the size no. and weight allows it. For ex (and up for discussions): all weapons goes into size "slot"Armour breastplates of hard material are size "7"Heavy armour helmets are size "6"All other armour made of hard and heavy material are size "5"Light armour shirt/jacket are size "4"Dresses, robes, cloaks etc are size "3"All other light armour, clothing, ore, ingots, books etc are size "2"All other items, food, ingredients, gems, septims, potions, scrolls, lockpicks, etc are size "1"Then the sizes gets a weight limit: Ex size 7 can hold 1 Dragonbone armour, but 2 Glas (because its lighter) A slot can hold one Great sword, but 2 or 3 wood bows etc A backpack can contain a certain amount of sizes (ex: 4xslots, 1x7, 1x6, 2x5, 2x4, 4x1) That gives you 35 "size 1" and 4 slots Ingame this is visual for the gamer by colour bars /percentage when he sees a overview of the character body, backpack and sizes/slots/pockets (click-n-zoom). With easy drag-n-drop between different sizes/slots/pockets, you get a more realistic amount for stuff you can carry.
  9. I'm sorry to hear that. How the heck could I know you got offended by some mild sarcasm. Should I get offended of your suggestion of me like playing Sims more then Skyrim? Lets not get into silly stuff, but stay on target. Your last listed argument are much more valid then your rambling about Sims. But again; Lets not let creativity be hampered by what the game originally was intended to do. But lift our eyes up and look beyond, and create what ever we can, within the frame of what the game lets us. So if there are an audience and a bunch of mod'ers to change Skyrim into Mario Cart, I will not cross sword. I will only look another way, and mind my own likings... We can agree to disagree.
  10. In the post Primary Needs I suggested: So I hope someone will pick up this and make use of the ideas. There should be only text warnings ingame, and in extreme you can have blackouts and blurry vision (because of hard effort, due to combat, carry heavy load, etc)
  11. Well, I cant see your point. This mod are like all the others mods out there. They are not essential for the game, so the gamers will choose the level of depth for the mod, if use it at all. You can always play vanilla :P
  12. This is one small step for the mod, but giant leap for me :P
  13. Remember the mod in Oblivion, where your stats got damage if you didn't eat or sleep. The same should apply in Skyrim. No eating, lowers your maximum health you can get back by potion/healing. (Ex: PC has 200 in health, doesn't eat and it drops 10points for every hour. => 5 hours after first "starving warning", the PC can heal to a max 150point. Rest 50 needs to be eaten, to get back to 200. No sleeping, lowers your maximum stamina you can get back by potion/not using stamina. Same suggestion as for food penalty. Only difference is you need to sleep to get back to maximum level.
  14. How if this "Spouse mod" included things like Cheating: The PC can cheat with other NPC in other towns/places. Of course its a risk of the spouses the find out about this.(travelling merchants, travelling friends of spouse, great news like PC becomes a Hero, random gossip etc)Can even marry several NPC in different towns. The guard doesn't share crime records, so how can a spouse automatically find out about this?If PC is to long away from the spouse (its more difficult if PC has several) the higher are the odds that the Spouse cheating, even possible with the Jarl.If the PC or Spouse get suspicious, they can launch a quest-line including everything like priests of Mara, adventures (or PC can do it by it self), use of fraction (like Mages, Theifes, Brotherhood) or assassins to investigate and/or punish the cheating one.Divorce: Several things could be trigger here, but the PC risk of loosing house and a share of the gold/gear/items. (need of places to hide such things.) Even quest items can be "lost in a divorce" so the PC needs to find a way to get it back (steal, raid, bargain, trick etc)Of course a nasty divorce will do a reputation hit on the PC, with ingame consequence. (need to do more good deeds to "overwrite" the bad impressions, etc) Gossip will be a good "early warning system" in case the PC those something foolish like this, and can then take measures. The epic point is when you go to Companions leader, and get the mission to find and kill a cheating bastard, and along the way you find out that its yourself you are about to kill! :D And the quest does a 180 on you and you need to clean up the mess, and find a way to end the mission without rousing suspicion from the Companions, or other involved. This mod could bring Skyrim to a hole other level.
  15. This would fit right into the idea of more quest from the barkeeper.
  16. This would be a nice gesture from those you have been interacting with in the game. The couriers could also been used in quest, where something needs to be finished or instead of waiting for some point in the quest (ex: NPC in quest: "I need to make the sword with what you have brought me at next full moon". PC now have 2 options, either tell the NPC "I'll be back for it" or tell the NPC "to send a courier with word, or the finished item itself" The Courier need then to use the same way of finding you, as if the PC did some courier quest. The longer time it has passed the longer time it will take for the courier to find the PC. It needs to ask other NPC in towns or along the road, where is "PC". And the PC can leave clues at barkeepers, shops, guards, horsemen, etc Wow... This Courier mod could be mind blowing and huge. :) Hope someone will take this and put it into some use.
  17. This would be awesome! But keep the original title if the book isn't read, then put (Read) afterwards you have gone through it. Books could also contain so much more: Clue to another book you need to read, very small clues about locations so you then need to ask people about "The place" (new dialogue menu opens),more knowledge about creatures (like in Witcher),other info about gear/subject then just a skill point, powers etc etc...
  18. Should have been mandatory from Beth. But it also took some time before the DLC came in Oblivion... And with CK some one maybe could make an animation for use of the bag?
  19. -Drag-able carts. -> Agree. When looting a place, the PC can use it to get stuff back home or to a vendor. It crazy for on person to carry nearly 500 pounds of shield, swords, armour, ingots etc -Optional long versions of the wagon rides, -> Very tempting. :) -"This is your home" command for followers,-> Agree. Very handy if you choose to operate out of (for ex) Whiterun and you dont use Lydia as follower. -Snowball fight games with children. :) Cant hurt to have something else to play. -Deeper, faster, stronger river. -> Doesn't need to be deeper, just stronger. The PC or NPC will lose its footings and be carried away. Taking damage and stamina on the ride...
  20. the Crime are for one city only, so if not the guards are talking across the holds, why should wifes do? But!! The mod would be even more "evil" if there is a chance of being busted. Through a quest, random or what ever. Then you would have a divorce with "you own me half!" If you are spending to much time away from your "home-duties", your spouse cheats on you! :D Start like rumors by random bypassers in random cities, etc Oh my, this mod could be hilarious huge! And fun!! Only the characters moral and focus, will keep you out of trouble.
  21. First: Big kudos to the modder and this mod, and everybody that comes with feedback the modder can use. Have been using different body mods since early Oblivion times, and we will see that some modders focus on the texture of the body, some on the mesh, some on size, etc etc.... My point is, everybody has different taste of how a body should look like. So people needs to chill and wait until a modder comes by that can make something up his/her ally. Or make it yourself... The mod is free, be humble...
