  1. Yeah yeah, I've heard all the flaming and trolling one receives for playing Pokemon, so please save it. However, if you're also a fan, well... I've been trying to start up a community similar to the one here on the Nexus in support of the series. Would anyone be interested? Also, apologies if this counts as spam or anything, I don't think it should... If it does though, let me know and I'll take it down ASAP.
  2. So, after several months of being away from the game and the community, I decided to reinstall Oblivion and try it again.

I guess Oblivion didn't like this plan so much. Even with no mods enabled, after the initial logos, the game CTD's before I can choose New Game or anything. What do?

Also, (because I didn't wanna start two threads) I'm having some issues getting Wrye Bash to run. It installs fine and everything, but when I try to run it, I get a split-second CMD box and then nothing. Mousing over, it says "No console" for the thing, but multiple reinstallls don't seem to help much.

  3. Anybody know of a hair accessory mod? Anything not bright-colored will do, but preferably something that fits iron equipments

Also, is there an actual standard lantern mod? I searched in Tesnexus but there is no hair accessory mod, or a standard lantern mod (the one there implies it is colored, I don't want that)

Look in Tona's Mod Store for a lantern.

Sorry for double post. Posted my first message before I read the previous pages.

And then realize that I forgot about the edit function http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/wallbash.gif

  4. Yes. The mod is called "Wild Spright" by Ancient_Laws, and like most of his stuff, is not listed on the Nexus. Google it, and you may have some luck. I got my copy off of a Chinese site, maybe it's on some of the Russian ones too. Good luck.

As for meshes and textures -- I can't do it myself, but I think you'll need Blender, NifSkope, and either Gimp or Photoshop. Check out the wikis. There are lots of guides on that sorta thing.

  5. I once downloaded one of the various magic overhauls, and now I can't remember which one. I know that it added many spells, and the two that I want are "Blink" (not the one from the official DLC, but a scripted version," and one called "Assassin's Rush." I thought they came from Mighty Magick, but I installed it and don't seem to have them.
  6. Yes and no. If you have the know-how to rip a game yourself, and you wanna post a screenshot or something of it, that's okay. However, you are absolutely NOT allowed to post them here on the Nexus, nor post links to anywhere you can download them. If a mod comes from a rip, you can give the name of the mod so that people may Google it, but essentially, no links or anything like that.
  7. Is there a mod to make the PC stop grinning whenever she's in range of another PC. I just shot an orc dead, and standing over his bleeding corpse, my character had this dorky grin on her face. It's even worse in town. I'm not sure if this comes from a mod or what. If so, anyone know which mod?
  8. Well, that's disappointing to hear, that they've never been too active. With mods like Deadly Reflex/Unnecessary Violence, or Midas Magic, or any of the tons of race mods and whatnot, they could get a pretty good idea of what people actually want in the game. It's a shame to think that all that feedback probably goes unnoticed. And really? PES is more official? I thought it was just another fan site, with less of an offering than the Nexus. I guess the lack of bugfixes was a pretty big giveaway, though... God help us if there isn't an SDK released, and therefore no Unofficial Skyrim Patch.
  9. I'm very proud of that topic title, by the way...

Anyway, I was just wondering, has any member of Bethesda's staff mentioned downloading mods, or more specifically using the Nexus? I mean, it stands to reason; it almost goes without saying that there are Bethesda staff members using the mods, but I just wonder what the likelihood of them being involved; maybe seeing some of the many threads where people post there hopes for ES5, and such as.

  10. I'm looking for a mod I had a long time ago, but have since uninstalled and reinstalled Oblivion and lost it. It made buying and selling much easier by eliminating the "How many" and "Are you sure" prompts. If I recall correctly there was also a mod that added a shortcut key for clicking Yes or No in an "Are you sure" prompt. Please help, I should be able to quickly sell a bunch of crap instead of having it take 10x longer due to unnecessary prompting :( TIA

That would be Toggleable Quantity Prompt, one of the most useful tweaks ever made, methinks http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif

  11. Well, as for proof, the Nazis more or less proved it themselves. They kept extensive records and histories of how many people went in, and how many were never coming back out. I'm pretty sure that's where the estimate comes from.

As for the legality... I don't think it should be illegal in the slightest. Definitely a violation of freedom of speech.
