BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to KakouZ's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders

Raider Gangs - Collecting ideas

Havok not working in Creation Kit
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to csbx's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Clearing and letting the CK redo the iniâs can also help CK load times sometimes. Goodness knows why, though, heh. But yeah, Iâm totally of the mind that CK does sneaky self edits to the iniâs sometimes. Again goodness knows why, but I swear it does. :/ -
Creating a proper enemy sniper.
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to csbx's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Thereâs a couple things to look at I can think of. 1 is packages with the flag weapon out (or it wasnât something like that). Second might be to stick a trigger/primitive around them and linkref them to it with one of the keywords of the âhold positionâ something-or-other, or maybe a âpreferred positionâ something-or-other. -
We turned it a round a bit this time, and gave the Raiders a chance to ride around on some not-so-nice dogs. Ruff Riders - Mounted Enemies of the Commonwealth https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30324?

REQUEST: Realistic Bullet Penetration!?
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to flyboy420's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
I get the idea, I really do, but all I can think of is... <gets into a room in a house, thinks safe, gets shoot over and over again with no idea where bullets are coming from and no way out, by a super mutant two rooms away, and then rage quits> :P Definitely be a slower game...yeah. Could really appeal to some, for sure...maybe especially sneakers? Side note: There is that one vanilla perk that does something similar for the player in VATS, iirc. Not to discount the comment request, just happened to remember it. :)- 2 replies

Beginner tips?
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to ThatGamingThingSkymos's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Outfit Studio is probably a good place to start, with mashups and such. NifSkope after that. Can get you going pretty quick with those 2. :) Iâm going under the assumption that you already know how to model from the wording above, but if not, start dipping into 3DS or Blender. -
seriously? this is not right

OP, is that the actual script snippet? -
Distorted/Corrupted Meshes
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to Nutulator's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Possible flipped the bones on export. Whether itâs my (users) fault or OS, I donât know, but it does happen. I usually try to export a few times again to see if itâll fix itself, but if not Iâll take a vanilla one and compare and edit as necessary. Itâs lame, but it just seems to be one of those things. <shrug> ...at least thatâs what it looks like to me. -
Question about flashlights...
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to dsr1231248D's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Ah, ulyeah, then thatâs all about an attach point and, I think, addon index. No wieghting needed, I believe. -
Question about flashlights...
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to dsr1231248D's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Guess easy enough to find out. Just have to check the vanilla one for either a child connect point setup or a skininstance (Ie: weighting) on the trishape (probably bssubindextrishape). Havenât looked at a flashlight (by the way, are meaning for like for the Minerâs Helmet or PA or something) in a while, for sure, heh. -

Attach point issue maybe? (Donât quite remember if those were straight attach point dependent or needed weighting also) -
Might give a check in your iniâs to see if aeomthing went wacky there with the font.

Also, yeah, Pra, I very much remember the trouble they had with Easy City Downs. There is a LOT of stuff going on at that location in vanilla...both they and I were very much not surprised by it having issues. Iâd wish you good luck on it, though. :)

They donât be mention it because you shouldnât have to do it that way. Iâm not sure what issue is, but for sure, linking the mapmarker to the workbench is not a normal step. Try comparing to Open Stands, a VERY basic settlement I did as a teaching tool/proof of concept.

Interior Settlement Creation
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to Deleted82156User's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Thereâs a lame way to do it, can throw the pertinent base items into a formlist and give the formlist a recipe. ...but, yeah thatâs a pretty lame way too. Honestly, Iâd just tell them to use one of those âscrapingâ mods...less headache for you and compatibility.- 3 replies

My mesh works! However...
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to KennyDoyle's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
It probably needs weighting, yeah, which I would turn to Outfit Studio to do. They have a lot of tutorials for it (Outfit Studio comes with Body Slide), so should be fine. Probably would copy the jetpack weights...though, honestly 100% sure what that is...but I think a backpack type thing...? So Iâm only guessing itâll be on the back of the PA...maybe? -
Military Backpack First Person Bug
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to CoopCoupe's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Might be able to get away with directing it to a blank nif in the first person nif field in the ARMA. Probably wasnÃât filled out or added the wrong one in thatÃâs 1st person field). (Pretty much what BigAndFlabby said) Edit: Oh, wait, itâs an esl (in from CC)...so may have to do an actual patch for it (whichâd Be easier than converting it to esp...âcause I donât think we can edit eslâs directly and have to convert them...? Havenât tried to work with them yet...going by memory of 2nd hand comments...). Means, if Ivremember correctky that they act like tiny esmâs and can be mastered to, youâd load it in CK with double left click, do your edits, and then save to a new esp which will make the esl its Master. -
Can you add guns to animals?
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah replied to ladiesandgonts's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
What that person said, itâs all about behavior. Would have to edit their behavior (and add animations and such, of course), and there are very *very* few people who know how to do that/have the correct tools. I, myself, would love to be able to do it...but the skill (and tools) just isnât coming to me.
