Forever. But I know some on this forum are console players. But as you know on PC with console commands you will be able to get a disable command to rid the Dragon's corpse among others. Well and probably a Dispose corpse mod. Source? And I plan on playing on the console, since PC isn't an option right now.And what makes you think you can disable it?You couldn't disable the oblivion gate leftovers, if I recall correctly.I remember trying over and over again to disable what was left of an Oblivion gate that was conflicting with a UL mod.

Stay there until the cell resets or stay there forever ever?Considering there is a potentially unlimited number of dragons, that could become quite annoying.

Pete tweeted that you can't turn off individual components, it's just an HUD opacity option like Fallout 3. :(
-
The real question is, can you adjust the opacity of individual components, like turning off only the compass? That would be awesome, since it's the only thing that doesn't fade out.

Anyone else read the ESRB rating summary? http://www.gamepur.com/news/5336-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-rated-esrb.html I Loled at this part.

Well what you described wasn't really a normal life.Normal people don't typically join secret societies where they get paid to assassinate people, at least not where I live. But no, I would not want to live a normal life in Skyrim, not even if I actually lived in Skyrim.I can't summon demons and send fireballs from the palm of my hand and turn invisible and whatnot if I chose to live a normal life, and I really want to do those things.
-
That would be kind of hard since perks are under skills, and there is no singular skill for jumping or running.Pete said on twitter once (quite a while ago) that there wasn't any dodging like Oblivion, except for moving out of the way.

Hey, if we have more than 1 robe mesh (white mage's robes don't count, they look like ass), I'm friggin ecstatic! I only see one robe model here, don't know where you got two from.Wish there was more magic-esque headwear, too, hoods just aren't enough.
-
Robes still look kind of bland to me, in fact the robe in the second picture looks a lot like the apprentice robes, but with a retex. They haven't promised more diversity in robes, still was kind of hoping for it.And why is the giant mudcrab's picture so small? How do we know if it's giant or not?

You really don't need 100 different slider positions to adjust the size of your nostrils, anyways.

I miss Daggerfall, it had mountains, deserts, forests, plains, jungles, and swamps.Although you couldn't really tell the difference between them since the technology wasn't that great back then.Which is why I would like to see it with modern day tech.

Multiplayer games don't work for me, at least not competitively.I'm a terrible sore loser, and if I lose a fight in a game I'm likely to assault the person I lost to or chuck my keyboard/controller out the window. What are you talking about when you say "midnight release"?Just go to Wal-mart, they're open 24/7.
-
Nah, they said it's exactly like Fallout 3's, but with a knife and lock-pick instead of a screw driver and bobby pin.
-
@ MizerD Kind of hard to make them have one foot on the wall and one foot on the ground in a game like this, that probably wouldn't happen too often in the game.I'm not sure what you're talking about when you said the walls look bland, they look better than Oblivion's to me.

Wow, that's an incredible view distance in the first screen. And that's on the 360 too, didn't they say the view distance would be further on the PC?Good news for PC gamers.

My personal test is it's only really fair to compare a game to other games that were out when the game's development began: Development resources are limited. You can't reasonably expect a game to push the envelope in absolutely every direction at once. Some people expect games to use the absolute latest and greatest everything in graphics technology even at the expense of aesthetic and gameplay: These people should be locked in a dark room and forced to play NetHack all the way to the end. Skyrim's been in development for 5 years now: The animations are way prettier than anything that available in 2006. That's good enough for me. Actually Skyrim has only been in development for three years, after they finished Oblivion and everything that goes with it they started developing Fallout 3, which they released in fall, 2008.Not saying the animations aren't great, just something I thought I would point out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development_history_of_The_Elder_Scrolls_series

The reason you felt fear is because Demon's Souls puts emphasis on extremely difficult enemies, if those enemies weren't difficult you wouldn't fear them at all, now would you?Of course not, why would you be afraid of something that doesn't present much of a threat?Even if it looks frightening, it doesn't do it much good unless it represents danger. So if you take away the difficulty of the game, the singleplayer doesn't have much to go on, the same can not be said about TES games.

Despite the fact that Dark Souls will have a much larger world than Demon's Souls, it is not an open-world game with many cities, towns, and the freedom to anywhere with no limitations because there's no level-scaling implemented, so you have to progress from area to area in a linear fashion. If you try to stray away from the path the devs laid out for you, you get your arse kicked and you have to back to an area that's more around your level. The devs of Dark Souls said this in an interview, I believe. Not to mention the fact that Skyrim has no multiplayer, while Dark Souls puts quite an emphasis on multiplayer.

It might also have something to do with the way they changed the horse mechanics, in the quakecon leak I saw him turn the horse really fast once, which might be disorienting in first-person.
-
I wasn't referring to magic, I was referring to the fact that he only stated things that don't have a real-life counterpart, when there are many things in Skyrim that also exist in real-life as well, too many for me to even list.

why do I need a mount?.... I am already a beast... what would possess me to ride a beast less powerful than myself ^ this reasoning is what always went through my mind while playing any one of my numerous oblivion files... Horses for me were just a novelty... something to try out and never ride again because they were inefficient means of transportation compared with myself. The horseback riding looks better in Skyrim but i doubt i'll use them much unless i'm playing a Nord or a Breton.... which wont be seeing play from me until my 3rd / 4th characters. I rather take pride in my own speed than in the speed of my beast of burden any day.... u are crazy 4 thinking otherwise "Realistic"--- why even bring that word up lol... dragons / magic / strange gods / daedric princes / orcs / elves / ---- are those things realistic? When you are immresed in TES everything does seem to be realistic... and considering everything else that goes on in the series I would say that my superpowerful character being able to jump 20 feet and run 200 mph fits right in with the rest of it edit--- fast movement (too fast) was only a problem when indoors and u knocked items all over the place... outside it was great... and if your characters' high speed really bothered you... u could always create a drain attribute / skill spell and apply it to yourself Wow, I'm really glad you're not a dev for BGS or else this game be horrible.I don't know if you've noticed, but a lot of things that exist in Skyrim, exist in our world as well.So your "Game should not be realistic cuz it haz dragons and elves!" argument basically makes no sense.

Replying to this again, as it's appropriate. :P I've been going through the vids again, and it seems in-game music is actually off, and instead, they're using music layered over the edited video. Look at fades between clips and areas. Same music continues even when fading to different sections. If they were using in-game music system, then it would actually change to different positions of the piece from when the player was actually at a point in the video to where they were after the fade transition. Which means the combat stuff is actually edited in as well, and you can even tell that from when the video transitions to different areas, and it's still the same combat track playing right on through. While the music is awesome, I would have preferred them to use the actual in game music system. I just noticed this myself, so there's no way to tell how the music player works?Ah well, Pete mentioned hours of music on Twitter once, hopefully he's not just exaggerating.

Looked like a bug to me, he didn't really lower the arrow, it just sort of disappeared.
-
I believe that Pete said on twitter that you couldn't actually denock your arrows, or at least that he couldn't figure it out.
