  1. It's 2021, and I'm still waiting for your cows to pop in Fallout 4. If they truly intend to do that, good luck with the lawsuits.
  2. That's not the site I'm talking about though. It's a different site.
  3. I'd rather be safe than sorry. As for the ads, I wouldn't know. uBlock Origin gives me a completely clean site.
  4. 1000 what now? That explains why we're being tossed out of the GMAD.
  5. Disregard, I misread this as Fallout 4 for some reason. I believe the process should be similar though. Find the Radstorm spell and change its magnitude.
  6. You forgot one word there... but I understand...
  7. It will indeed get a lot of free promotion through it. I mean, it's Not Something For everyone, but on the Whole, it has the potential to host a lot of MODS when it goes live.
  8. Which one? I can't post the name here.
  9. If I want to be pedantic: yes, one leg will hold up a chair if the center of gravity is perfectly aligned.
  10. Of those, at least 134,000 are all: titties, butts and other stuff I can't post here.
  11. I regularly merge mods or need to fix compatibilities for my games. I've been modding games/making mods since the high times of Neverwinter Nights (Aurora Toolset), and I've seen pretty much all that can go wrong with mods and compatibility across several engines. There's absolutely no way I'd trust some rando to tell me what mods go with what, and use their patches. Who knows what they bundle up in there. If it weren't for mod authors, this site wouldn't exist. Seems kinda idiotic to me to alienate the very people you depend on for your existence..... That said, there were multiple proposals in the GMAD forums, that would have worked perfectly, and everyone would have been at least OK with it, if not precisely happy. But, Nexus never even bothered to talk to mod authors about it. They just made a unilateral decision, and told mod authors, "This is it, comply, or leave." (You shall be assimilated......) I suggest a name change for the site: Nexus1984.
  12. Also, shaken or shacken or whatever mods thing, has CP charges. Stay well way from that place. And that is a large part of the problem. Nexus went to great lengths to respect mod authors for quite some time, and became the dominant download site for a fair few games. (most notably, beth games) Most of the other major download sites went by the wayside years ago. There are a collection of smaller mod sites out there, but, nothing even near approaching the scale of Nexus. So, there simply aren't a lot of alternatives out there, that have the good reputation that Nexus USED to have...... With the moves they have been making recently, there is zero reason to trust Nexus any longer. Their actions have blown that right out of the water. I hear that another well known site is setting up something to try to compete with the Nexus.
  13. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..................... I can't give a "like" to your post. Here's a kudos instead.
  14. Ever heard people saying how much "money changes a person"? Well...
  15. It never has been. It's just showing clearly now. By his reasoning, a whole team of Devs in a company are just a pile of nothing. Only the the company gets credit because they pushed a button.
  16. I literally just explained how it got noticed and how the previous script was out-of-date meaning plenty of users had the mod author perks despite no longer meeting the criteria. We were already updating the script to remove the perks for those users leaving us after the latest announcement and thus, anyone who shouldn't have had the perks before has now been removed as part of the update to the script which is removing the authors who recently left. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ SO what was the reasoning behind removing those 'perks' from co-authors? Simple: your mod doesn't have 1000 dls. They don't care if you are co-author.
  17. Yeah. Ok. So, a system that has been in place for better than ten years, suddenly gets an update? You will pardon me if I find the timing of that somewhat suspicious. I have seen a LOT of changes coming about here in the last couple weeks, and none of them seem to be in line with what was once the stated goal of NexusMods, protecting mod authors rights. That seems to have fallen by the wayside recently, and suddenly, a fair few folks that have had access to the GMAD forum, now suddenly don't. Coincidence? I hardly think so. So, for those of us that are responsible for mods, (and in some cases, the ONLY person looking after them) that have contributed to those mods, and supported them for years, now no longer qualify as "Mod Authors" in Nexus view?? That's exactly what he's saying. Also, you seemingly stop being a mod author for whatever reason, unless you have a permanently published mod with 1000 dls. It's like saying I stop being a Game Designer if I go on vacation, or get sick. I can't help but laugh.
  18. Wonder how many folks just lost access.... Can't say I think this is a confidence inspiring move...... Quite a few, I imagine. Things should be interesting later today, when more people realize what's going on.
  19. That has nothing to do with your mod author status. However, we've had to log out all users recently, so you probably just clicked the link to the tracking centre when you got logged out. Please try again and let me know if it works now. I have had access to the Mod Authors forum for the better part of the last ten years, or more.... It was granted when I was added as author to Advanced Magecraft for Oblivion. Now, today, that no longer qualifies???? Looks like it. My mods are either archived or hidden and I lost access. Mine are neither hidden, nor archived..... Apparently, someone unchecked a little tickbox that grants access to GMAD for those are are merely responsible for mods, but, not the original author..... More like they ticked a box that says "Only people with a PUBLISHED AND VISIBLE mod with more than 1000 downloads can access the GMAD." They are, in effect, removing access to the GMAD to anyone who doesn't publish mods at a consistent rate, with consistent downloads. I'll keep my opinion to myself... Real curious what their motivation for that change was..... Though I do have my suspicions. I have a pretty good idea too. As I said, keeping it to myself.

Please try again and let me know if it works now. That's the fun part... I did and it said I was already logged in. As for published mods... that's an interesting change. So now, if we hide mods or archive them, we're mod pariahs too? Cute.
  23. I tried to access my tracked mods for Valheim and it told me I didn't have permission to access the page. Who's playing around with the backend and breaking things?
  24. Checking your profile, it shows 0 user files on NexusMods...... How neat... well... they better fix it then.
