  1. It will cover all the basics. Just follow the tutorials and you'll have all the information you need.
  2. This: http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Papyrus That link will take you to the official creationkit help wiki where you can learn all there is to know. I"ve linked you straight to the scripting section, so if you want to go oher areas of the guide you'll have to navigate to them. Good luck.
  3. The "Dragonborn" questline (the main quest) is started by you being attacked by cultists after you've spoken with the Greybeards. They only way for you to be able to go to Solstheim is after this happens, which starts the "dragonborn" main quest. Simply follow the quest from there.
  4. There really isn't much more we can tell you, honestly. If you've tried lowering all the graphical settings as low as they can go, and even WoW lags you, then you're laptop just isn't meant for gaming. Integrated graphics are always horrendous when it comes to gaming because they're just not built for heavy opperations like gaming. If you're still determined to play skyrim, then the best place I can send you is here: http://www.geforce.com/optimize/guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide#1 The link above will take you to the official GeForce Skyrim Tweak Guide. Hopefully this will help you optomize your game enough to where you'll be able to decently run it, also it wouldn't hurt to look at the many optomizational mods here on the nexus. -Elsarian
  5. It would be best if you showed us a screenshot so that we can get an idea of what you're talking about. It could be your monitor brightness that makes you "think" they're to dark, or have you tried upping the brightness setting when taking screenshots? It would just be best if we could actually see what you're talking about.
  6. Link to Convienient Horses: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14950
  7. You could always try Convienient Horses that'll allow you to have your horse follow you and you'll also be able to call the horse back to you even if it gets lost. There are options that you can set that will make NPC's not attack your horse, too. As far the mounted combat goes, there really isn't nothing I can tell you. If you're using a bow or crossbow and sitting stationary on a horse, then aim at their feet because the bolts or arrows fly a little too high for some reason. There may be a fix for that, but I haven't found one. Hopefully this helps, friend. -Elsarian
  8. I would recommend you move this to the technical support page http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/414-skyrim-technical-support/ As far as your issue, I've never heard of such a thing. Are you able to turn the camera when standing still, or is it "stuck" in one place?
  9. I have returned for the win! Noone shall usurp me!
  10. That's becuase Xbox has gotten most of the love, but actually, PC is more stable. The reason we seem to have more issues is becuase we install modifications for our games. These mods are absolutely amazing, of course, however the dev's can't make content while taking mods into consideration because nothing would get done. That's why it's a user's choice to either install mods, or to not install mods, hence we have issues. As far as Dragonborn goes, I haven't had any issues with it besides the occasional crash every few hours. I completed the mainquest today and everything went smoothly. Your best bet to having a stable game is to not use overhauls. I know they are awesome (I love them, too), but I will not use any of them until Bethesda is done making new DLC/patches. All I have installed are weapon/armor mods, a few quest mods, quest fixes, patches, graphical fixes for the official texture packs, and stuff like that; nothing heavy. I know this might not help much, but hopfully it will serve as some advice for future characters. -Elsarian
  11. Also, be sure to verify your game cache using steam; this will replace any missing files that might have accidentally been deleted. Be sure to generate a new, fresh .ini. Try uninstalling and reinstalling skyrim without deleting your saves. Try literally anything you can think of. If none of this has fixed the issue, then it is a mod issue.
  12. Also, remember that the "name" of a dragon is actually a Shout in and of itself. Paarthurnax is a word of power which will call him, just like Odahviin is also one. So, essentially any "name" you make up would be it's own new word of power. You can literally come up with any name you want as long as it can be broken into three separate parts for a shout. As far as the word for martyr, I have no clue. It would be best for you to use the chart that shows the letter for which each symbol corresponds with. -Elsarian
  13. Have you experienced this at all? Yes. And I can conform it does go away after having completed the main quest. Yes, I just made that discovery myself. Actually, to be more specific, it goes away after cleansing the Stones, so all is well now. I guess it was just a bit of paranoia on my part because I was hoping to be bug-free for my first play through of this DLC. Thanks for you help, though! -Elsarian
  14. Touching the stone is one thing, but I'm talking about this happening every time I wake up from sleeping in Raven Rock. No matter where I try to sleep in the town, once I start to wake up I get a loading screen, then I find myself randomly transported to one of the Stones. I know it's supposed to happen when you touch one of the stones, but not when trying to activate a bed. I might be wrong there, though.
  15. Dragonborn is just a few days old. There is very little we know about this addon and what might be causing these issues and Bethesda is sure to release a few patches. Simply reload saves, reinstall Dragonborn and do whatever it is that you can until the community and the developers start rolling out fixes. There really isn't much anyone can do right now. I would recommend you download the Unnoficial Dragonborn Patch. -Elsarian
  16. Ok, I just got the Dragonborn DLC off steam today and I would like to know if any of you have experienced this: It was dark when I arrived in Solstheim for the first time, so after getting my bearings and checking out the shops, I went into the Wretched Netch to see if I could find a room for rent. I found the barkeep, asked him for a room, he led the way, and so on. Well, once I activated the bed to sleep for 10 hours and the countdown finished, I immediately got thrown a load screen and randomly appeared at one of the Stones mindlessly working like the other guys who are under Miraak's influence. So I figured it might just be a bug with the bed in the inn, however when I try to sleep in my own bedroll in Raven Rock, the same thing happens. I'm just curious if this is supposed to be happening, or this might be a bug on Beth's part. Thanks for any feedback! -Elsarian
  17. I would suggest that you do a total, complete, fresh install in preparation for Dragonborn. Remember all the mods you are using on your current character (if you're using NMM, then everything will remain there). Simply reinstall the game from Steam and remove whatever mod you are using that is causing this. I would highly recommend that you stay away from any total conversion mods until thay are complete. There is no telling what issues may arise when using them. If you don't want to do a total reinstall, then I advise you try one more option: Go into steam, click on Skyirm, click properties, click local files, then choose "Verify Integrity of Game Cache". This option will replace any missing files from the game. It doesn't matter if it's a rogue script, removed mesh or texture, sound issue, or you messed with the logo. Anything will be replaced that is missing. If this does not solve the problem, then do a complete reinstall without removing your saves or mods. Hopefully this will get you back up to speed and ready for Dragonborn! P.S. Sorry about the late response -Elsarian
  18. Actually, you can remove it. Simply send Valve a request in the technical support stuff. All you have to tell them is that you want the codes and subscription removed from your account because it is taking up to much bandwidth to download every time and causes many issues and it wasn't what I though it was. There won't be any issue because it's free stuff. Within a few days a Valve Customer Service guy will respond to you with an email stating that the item has been removed from your account, if you wish to get it back, simply click on "subscribe" to reacquire your content. -Elsarian
  19. It's about time for an avatar change. Whose with me!
  20. I wouldn't do that. Have you tried unpacking skyrims textures in Skyrim-Textures.bsa? Every texture that Skyrim uses should be in that .bsa. Use OBMM of FOMM to unpack said .bsa and see if you can locate the texture there.
  21. I would say they are reptiles considering that they are mainly land-based for the most part, however they're also good swimmers. I like to compare them to a snake or lizard in that sense. Snakes mostly live, hunt, and procreate on land, yet there still good swimmers and can stay underwater for a good amount of time. Those are just my thoughts.
  22. Dragons are no where near as annoying as the Oblivion Gates in TES: IV. They're not as intrusive, painstaking, annoying, or anything like that and they're rather fun to fight, actually. They're really no bother for me.
  23. I've seen the start-out of the DLC and the only thing that seems to have been edited in Skyrim's world space is that ship at Windhelm's docks where the captain there gives you random quests to kill old mates of his or something. He's the one that offers the ride to Solstheim, so I wouldn't be to worried about it. Then again, I might be wrong and there may be more that I'm just not aware of.
  24. Very entertaining! You got my sub; however, there is but one issue. Please try not to spin your camera around so much. Very dizzying lol. Thanks for the uploads! Oh, I loved the "Oh, sweet lord!" reaction to the Pony head XD!
