  1. I personally use Spybot - S&D although it uses much cpu.

Virus detection software is the biggest thing people worry about these days. So I use symmantic endpoint protection. It usually has subscriptions, but since I work for the military I get it for free till I retire. It works well, but it too is cpu demanding. It has a very advanced user interface, so you need to now what you are doing.

  2. I've watched this thread for a while now and checked out the web site and resisted to long, so here it goes.

I was in a band in my short college time. We called ourselves Arctic Fire. Good memories! I don't have any pics of us for some weird reason, but we had a hope in a future. We had an idea for album art consisting of

ice and fire, obviously. We went after bands like Breaking Benjamin, Symphony x, and Sonata Arctica, the real influence. Sonata had some sick pics and on you tube people made some real quality pics for them.

In short, if possible, I would request a signature having to do with Arctic Fire, just with Lord Wushin as the name. I trust both of you could make something awesome.

Just in case it was forgotten, no biggy!

  4. Notice that it is your decision at the end!

I myself play in this order:

    1. Main quest only! Start game 2

    2. All guilds only! Start game 3

    3. Explore map and close oblivion gates! Start game 4

    4. Do all side quest I find while doing all the guilds along with closing oblivion gates, then main quest! Start game 5

    5. MOD my butt off and console cheat everything! Start game 6

    6. Mods and expansions with dlc and cheats when necessary! Start game 7

    7. Do all the above! Start new game Starting at 1

That may help but I say you should finish at least Fighter's Guild and main quest before really getting mixed up with other stuff.

    Have fun!!!

  5. TES 5 is going to be one of those sudden, minded-blowing games, I hope! MW was and is the best as of now, but I think Oblivion was a experimental step in a new improved direction. Beth knows everyone loves MW and its story, complexity, and variety. They also know that everyone loved the new improved battle system and graphics of Oblivion.

Fallout NV is their main goal right now, along with brink and the others that are going to be released at that same time. Hopefully NV is going to be as good and better than FO3, and ready us for TES 5!

    So good to be back!!!

  6. Come back to the dark side, you know you want to

I haven't played Oblivion in two months and the itch has started already. Just deciding what to do...hmmm

I have been in boot camp for 10 weeks, and on the first day I had the itch. I am finally able to scratch, ooooohhh haaa!

The itch is to annoying and powerful to resist for too long.

  7. Misses....Strip Club xDDDDDDDD

    Oh ya, forgot that one! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

    WHAT ??? :woot:

Are you talking about the cage dancers in the basic MW game, or is there something in an expansion I missed?

In Suran just as you get off the Silt Strider, there is a building. The bottom door goes to "House of Earthly Delight." Look it up and you will see!!!

Judging would be based on the amount of endorsements and comments you get. If we do this contest, good endorsements are good! Bad endorsements are counted against the good one's. Also, with each endorsement their must be a comment to describe why, this allows for concise grading in the end. So no I would not be judge per say.

As for rewards, knowing that you did best is a good reward, yes! It really is hard to do a worth while reward through the internet, except the title and respect more or less. If someone has a better alternative, pm me.

    @ Khet

Right! re-texturing is long and hard, we better not. Good observation!

    @ Pronam

I modded with MW back in the day, but I was horrible! Since Oblivion, I still change this for myself, but I mainly test beta mods and other new mods and give endorsements on them, tell if their is something hugely wrong or out of order, you get the idea.

Now, what would be the most narrow yet broad base that we could do? I lean towards the earlier suggestions of dungeons. But ruins and forts would be another option too I think. All three are very similar is essence really, right?

Keep the questions coming, this is good! Also say what you would like about a suggestion.

  9. I actually miss being able to eat the ebony, diamonds, and other gems. :yucky:

Using the rings to attack is missed too! Why does Oblivion have a constant effect always.

Goes without saying, I miss Dwemer ruins.

    ADDITION:

What happen to daedric katanas and daedric dia-katanas! I mean they were so awesome, light yet powerful all in one.

  10. If you had a contest, it might be good to have it for a very narrow category like "best dungeon." There are so many categories, that is it hard to compare them. Like which of these three is the best mod? (1) a tweak that can keep your game from crashing (2) a really large and challenging dungeon (3) a really cool-looking longsword

That is a good idea! I was going to ask what a good category was out of these I had chosen:

weapons, armor, and magic(spells and visual effects)

    new locations, lands, and landscapes

    npc, gameplay, and miscellaneous

But that is broad too! Best dungeon, best fort, or best ruins would be a good selection now that I think about it. Which one everyone?

  11. I have done contests at other site before, but really small and minute. Also did some with friend in my town. Contests help us to be and do better, do things we never knew we could. I think I have worked out all the rules and process to victory, adapted to our large community.

One question tho, what do you think of this idea?

I would like to know if people would be willing to do this. It would be fun! If you like the idea tell me. I would like some 20 people at least in order to start well, maybe 10. I will post rules and the process to victory, as I call it, after seeing what others think first.

  12. As I used to say to some people at other sites like the nexus, I'll say here, "If you don't like it change it! That why we have mods"

I do think that there will never be a perfect game and here's why: if there was a perfect game why buy any other game? As soon as you find 'the one game' all others are thrown out the window, accept it or not it's true. We have a unique genre. RPG's allow use to be the people, and like FO3 compared to the other Fallout games, we get a different perspective of RPG. Either good graphics and 'bad' flaws or perfect everything else and 'bad' graphics. That how it goes.

If there is anything to be happy about, it is the fact that we get another game to play, and not to repeat playing others over and over. On that note, I always set low expectations on game that I hear are awesome. New Vegas is supposed to be very good. I just hope that it is better than fallout 3, nothing grand and superb.

  13. The weatherlee (?) quest is my most hated. I mean why, how, just . . . Aghhhhh! Maybe it is just me but the whole quest is a big pointless running around, aside from the fact of new locations being found.

The Garridan's Tears! I have to agree it just was interesting, yes, but long and confusing to me at times.

  14. I have many sites that I go to too! I have never seen anything like what we have hear tho, especially the strike system. I feel safer somehow.

And the nexus is not like some places I go that is all one game or subject really. We have a multitude of stuff we can do and be apart of.

    Thanks to everyone!

  15. I played the Bulder(?) Gate games back in the day, so the fallout games were not new to me. Fallout 1, if thats the name, I did not play actually, but I did play Fallout 2 a lot. Now that I try to remember it I cannot, oh well! The elder scroll games got me side tracked when morrowond came out and even more some when oblivion came.

But while in a school that would not give you unfiltered internet or allow you to have xbox's or playstations, I heard that Fallout 3 came out! I was sort of sceptical about going back to a turn based game, but when I heard that it was a straight rpg like the elder scroll games, I was trying to buy it immediately.

I had to wait till a scholl break, living on campus, before I could buy the game and play it, and boy did I play it. I literally cried when I had to go back and finish the school year. Till the summer time, I longed for the Fallout 3 game.

Fallout 3 is definitely the best FO game, maybe because I play TES more! But having a 'different TES' as I call it is my favorite and long remembering FO game.

Tell me some of your stories of how you came to FO3 and how much you love it.
