I get the sense you don't either. I probably won't get banned myself, but it makes me uncomfortable regardless. And disagreeable. I say this as a user above reproach, btw. lol

As for porn mods, I've no idea, since it doesn't come with the stock game, I don't consider it at all. Therefore it's no con at all and can't be used against TES in favour of GTA. It would be different if Beth themselves shelved the porn, instead of users, then the complaint would have merit. Unless you are talking that the CK itself is bad and should be taken away...but that is a completely different discussion.

I see, I'm in agreement on other parts of the nexus not having really any traffic worth mentioning, and the quantity of mods can never compare to Oblivion and Skyrim. Alright, so I'm pretty stumped, I made a fresh reinstall of Skyrim, that is to say I deleted ALL of it and then installed little by little my mods I had, however it is difficult to pinpoint the problem because all the mods I so far have installed I have done so successfully in my previous installation of the game. The bug here that leads to the CTD is the very first time you appoach Solitude and the Guard talks about Rogvir's execution, but then "BAM" CTD, it never fails. I'm sure it's something I got installed...but I really can't tell what. I want to post my mod list, but is there an easier way than to just type them all, cause...they are still quite a bit of them. Hmmm, got another problem, my changes aren't sticking to the .esp, do I need to turn my Custom race into an .esm? Or is there some less...um, unstable way of doing it? That being said...how do I make the esp into an esm? I'm sure it takes more than simply changing the extension of the file.

Thank you! :D I knew the solution to it was simple but I am so mentally fatigued to have to get 5-6 mods to work simultaneously and had spent a whole 8 solid hours at it, and have been largely succesful that well...I am tired. But thank you, I will do this.

I'd thought I'd ask instead of stabbing in the dark to find a solution to my Dissapearing Ring and Earrings on my character. My problem is that while I have those equipped and I think I'm certainly receiving the bonuses from their enchantment, I cannot actually see them on my body. I've narrowed it down a bit and it only happens with Jewelry which has been added to the game through mods, not the stock "mainstay" vanilla ones since I see those, also I'm playing a Custom Race, somewhere in there there is something that is either not "ticked" on the CK or something, but I'll rather not blunder around, do you guys know what it might be causing that? And a solution, maybe a patch?

No, I'm on Windows 7 x64. I've done more sleuthing - it looks like the CTD was caused by a corrupted Unofficial Dawnguard Patch. I looked back through the Papyrus log and saw a lot of references to Serana not leveling with certain perks. I threw away my Skyrim directory structure and downloaded again (!) and started a new game. I downloaded a fresh UDGP and applied that in order :-) Now I have loaded most of my mods back in with no problems. Fingers crossed. No plans to go to Win 8 anytime soon :-) Thanks for the tip. Makes me want to be careful of any Windows Update patches I get from Microsoft. Goody another place to need caution. Mrod Oh!, so that's what it was... :/ Well, that solves that. A problem which I also had. As an aside, I didn't choose Win 8. I'm just using this PC with Win 8 until my older (Sturdier-software-wise, in my opinion) arrives from some maintenance. At any rate, It feels weird, maybe it's just me, but I thought I had less problems with Win 7.

Are you on Windows 8? I ask...cause I had this same exact problem like you not 1-2 days ago. Hell, I would link the thread if I knew how. ><; What worked for me was disabling all mods and only having those DLC that you are mentioning while doing a clean reinstall, then did the character tutorial vanilla, and THEN, I installed the mods, after the whole tutorial. Sadly I got to another problem, and I got other ctds....again. In the Daedric Quest of Vaermina. All of this, without ever having a problem before.

No problem, I just changed computers and the other one didn't have this sort of problem. I've no idea why though. I don't really do it often, I just wanted to make sure if I needed to be on guard if I wanted to make another character or not. I may start another one if I get bored and then go back to the original, however, not that often.

Alright, I'm here cause I'm pretty much at my wits end, sadly. I've searched (These boards), cursed, and put a hex on my WIn 8. Nothing worked. I got two types of ctd's, all in helgen's tutorial part: One is where and when I meet Haldvar(sp?) after escaping with Ralod to the tower and the other is when I try to enter the barracks with Haldvar -- I assume the same thing will happen if I enter with Ralof, but I never tried. This is my papy log, I've no idea how to make the attachments prettier...other than this: And sadly I didn't understand the jargon....Something about vampires? The Dragon Alduin?...If the error or problem is not there I'm not sure what to think, most of the mods I have are texture replacements, UNPB, eyes, hairs and the like...I went from installing 64 mods to only having 4 mods or so, and 2 clean reinstalls...><;

It surprises me that Paradox-- well, the website -- acted in such a fashion. To be honest I know Moderators have locked threads 'cause people kept talking in a different language, but this...I think it's more an excuse to stamp you out, so to speak, rather than upholding any sort of rule, since they also banned one of their own, Forzaa, whom I remember. However, if that is the way it's going to be, it's their loss, certainly no skin off your nose. But I'm guessing you already figured that out, seeing as you don't want to be involved in their problem. I wouldn't want to be either. :p I'm just disappointed because I happen to like that community...

Is there a mod that makes the subtitles have a...I don't know, a tiny black background? I'm going blind trying to understand the results of a dialog in my own mod. I just want the subtitles to be more clear. For them to have some sort of contrast, cause It's difficult to read "white on white, Grey, or snow". I'm not sure if I'm being clear. ^^; I read the stickies, but I'm still a bit lost as to were to search if such a mod actually exists.

This is especially good for new people that request modders to do any of those things.

People can be quite over-sensitive sometimes... But to my point of the comment, I like the updates myself, I haven't fully tested it though, so I cannot form a precise opinion of it, but I'm liking it so far. I guess I like being lazy. :P
