  1. I'm pretty sure they were talking about the Way of the Voice, not really the belief dragons themselves -- Paarthurnax notwithstanding. The tablets talk about Jurgen and his Disputants after all. Edit: You are right, I missed that one particular etching. About true need, number 1.
  2. Hmm, Dragons do not speak only for true needs but when they really want. Any dragons that are still alive do not follow Paarthurnax's teachings of the Way of the Voice. At the end of the game, when there are more around, it still remains to be seen, but chances are...it won't happen*. They are not beholden to Parthy, or any Greybeard for that matter. I suppose at the end of the day, no one truly is except the gray dudes themselves. As for who enters Sovngarde, I guess it's up to Lorkhan himself. I don't think his standards are exacting. *Maybe they'll go back to Akavir for some good vengeance, lol.
  3. It is 7Bombshell, Oppai, I think. CBBE looks..um different.
  4. Depending on how many texture mods, yeah, you might be running out of VRAM.
  5. Obsidian is not really bad. They tend to give a deeper story to things. Though, that in and of itself may put some people off*. Either way, if I got it right, they did give them license to do stuff in NV. But that's basically it. *I can think of a couple of examples.
  6. Well...I honestly would have told you not to use the console command in the first place to do that kind of stuff, since it can be problematic sometimes. Hmm, try to convince him if you can, to simply give you the info. I do the con or convince him, but that's all. You are not truly a part of the Thieves guild until you force the protection money. They talk about you in the ratway, but as long as you turn down Bryn or just ignore him, it doesn't go anywhere. I don't think there is any other way around it, sadly.
  7. Well...you are talking about two different things actually. Vampirism that might be tacked on as an afterthought (Which is why I use an overhaul) and then the fact that the Dovakiin runs around doing errands. Vampire or no, you'd still be..well used I suppose.
  8. There are mods for whatever shortcomings or things people would like to fine tune with regards to vampirism or lycanthropy. So, your choice, mods are always here.
  9. About the Lorkhan thing, they wanted to punish him for creating the...mortal world (back when it was chaotic)...if I recall correctly(Too sleepy). Now, as for whether that was truly a power play in disguise(or convenience), sure, it could be. Too late to worry about it now, though. Those other gods (Akatosh, etc.) are pretty impartial, even though they don't manifest themselves as often. Edit#1: Also there is the fact that they had to fix the thing that Lorkhan created, to make it more stable thereby using a lot of their power. I'm guessing they weren't particular happy with him anyways. As for Tsun, no idea, never actually researched that dude.
  10. I tend to reel away from you tube. Idiots like him flock to it. There are worse though. Yeah, he's clearly an imbecile. To be absolutely honest, reading his pile of garbage comments is psychological torture.
  11. I think I let Alva live in one of my playthroughs by accident. I wasn't particularly interested in her, but she is completely friendly after that. I suppose she still lives in...what was his name? Hroggar's house. As I've said, I thought it was funny at the time, but didn't pursue it any more than that.
  12. I remember The Motierres, the Hero of Kvatch had to deal with one of them 200(?) years or so in the past. The new one takes on the same nasty traits as the first one, maybe not quite as...repulsive. He's not really smart, but he's devious and in it only for himself and his own advancement, which basically means he would never play the stooge for Mede. So, yeah, I'm in agreement.
  13. Naw, I'm not bitter. Not sure why I "still" would be so. Sorry if I seemed that way, though.
  14. Having read this thing, all I'm seeing here is a difference of opinion, with you, Padre, nothing that actually invalidates any of my points for me to actually try to remedy it, or continue. I prepare for the worst outcome possible, because it is in very poor form (for any strategist) to rely on your enemy not being ready for you than you being ready for your enemy. Your very last point, however, is something I've said in the past as well and have always been taken into consideration. Though, I don't expect you to actually go sifting through it all. I'm not being sarcastic about it though. It's there.
  15. Now, we are both assuming things here (all of us, I suppose), so there really is little point in pointing it out, as long as we aren't being too far-fetched. Also, I'm not sure where the big "if" is in all this. Somehow I believe you are relying on a very weakened Empire to bail you out, and the other Kingdoms when they've been beaten by rebellion and Thalmor. I never considered anything simple, Thalmor won't have much trouble once they beat the Empire, why would they? they would have cowed Cyrodiil, they are not going to have much trouble actually marching as long as they are wary enough and are not found skip-roaping around Cyrodiil. But...I need to say this, because I believe that I'm being misunderstood, this is not in a matter of days...no, this whole process from beginning to end is a matter of months and years, many years from the ending of the Great War till the next great one. So while Skyrim might have rearmed, the Dominon would be quite prepared as well..with quite a lot of land. Having said this, I totally believe that The Empire would - and should - gather allies as you said, a coalition if they lose more land. And even if they don't. 1) Absolutely, I have no doubt that there won't be a single Hold not fighting the Thalmor, the same can be said if the Empire wins the Rebellion. 2) I'm pretty sure that Tiber Septim and Reman faced the same problem...they do not seem worse for wear. They went on to establish their Empires spanning the whole continent. 3) But it does, there can be no real victory if you do not subdue Cyrodiil, it is simply essential to reach Skyrim. However, as I've said in my prior post...there really is no need to fight Skyrim at all once you are the Big power on Tamriel. They can always lean on. There is also no need to annex it (Cyrodiil), I believe you were talking about Client States? Nothing is stopping the Thalmor from getting even more concessions after they beat them in the next war. Concessions that facilitate their war-path. 4) I never said that plans are not necessary, you can check my post again. I do not go into the details...because I see no point in it. That is the Thalmor's business...and whatever spy I can send to roast them to get the info. :D 5) See above my #3 point. Oh, I do not doubt that their main force is out of commission...I do not see the empire is faring any better, weakened by the Oblivion crisis and surprised by Thalmor attack. Hmm...how did Legate Rikke put it? The Nords are rebelling because the Emperor is using Skyrim as it personal larder. Or was it Bryling? Anyways, I'm pretty sure the Empire is not doing that on a whim if it had the resources in Cyrodiil. If they do...oh, then we are really in trouble. haha.
  16. Well...you are basically trading one potential Overlord for another. I think you expect to little once the Thalmor remove the Empire as it's greates threat. Skyrim might be safe in the short run, but they will still have to deal with the Dominion, since they will be the new big power around the block. I'm not saying Skyrim can't pull this off - or hell, remain independent after Thalmor hegemony, because it can, I am saying however...that they will have to deal with that "New Empire" much like the Resdayn, Argonia and every other province had to deal with a nascent empire. So, I'll point out something that...not sure if you were aware or just avoided. The Thalmor would never attack Skyrim while they have to deal with the Empire. Ever. After establishing hegemony...most of your points are invalid since they wouldn't have to deal with any of that, and they can, indeed very much march against Skyrim in a punitive expedition unbothered*, no need to annex them, as long as you can strong arm people in doing what you want. After all, we can both agree, they are bullies. I suppose having the dragonborn is a wildcard...but then again the Empire can have him as well. *Yes, they will have to make preparations, logistics, plans, etc. After all, you need all of those anyways.
  17. Hmmm, I'm not sure I can help you. I forgot to mention that I'm using Moonlight Tales mod, so that probably did something to any bug that was there before, like fixing said fx.
  18. I hated that Ultimatum that Delphine game me, but I expected as much of her, my real disappointment, though, was Esbern actually agreeing with her. Yeah, I let Parthy go.
  19. Hmm, it's not really a problem about the book. You may have read that somewhere else, anyways, it's not really important. The Nords did try to destroy elvenkind, though. Hmmm, you are saying basically what I said before about the races, though, Boombro. So no enlightening happening here. I do agree with the Altmer, though, they were never so militant about it. Annoying though, yeah. I do feel terrible about some people's experience about playing morrowind, that's...a new thing I heard. I always played a Nord, but always shrug it off.
  20. It may be, there should be a lot of issues that haven't been solved still, after all the Bethesda patches. I can't tell since I'm using Arthmoor's unofficial patches since the longest times.
  21. yes and in turn were the one who brought it up. the Dunmer are in the way in Skyrim as there isnt really anywhere to put them and literally no one has the resources to do anything for them. they are also unwilling to help in the current issues at hand and as such are only a drain on the economy. whether or not this is true is debatable but it does leave a very reasonable conflict for the parties involved. both sides have a very good point in their stance. the Dunmer just lost their home land and are displaced they dont want to fight someone elses war when they are still trying to figure out what to do next. the Nords on the other hand sees a waste of space and resources that they need to supply the ongoing conflict. in the end the Nords actually are right purely because of their heritage. if the Dunmer stepped up and sided with either party (pro-Imp or Stormcloak) and said party won they would actually help the Dunmer and welcome them as friends as Nords are known for this type of honor system, but as i said the Dunmer are in a difficult situation that is very reasonable and easy to understand. Yes, I did so, preemptively(Wasn't really the only one, though). So now I'll do you the solid to get back in topic. By the way, you are not a moderator, so do not tell me what to do. I didn't say that so you had to defend your self in any way, wasn't my intention, so calm down. Okay.
