Aww, really? You guys should come here in the morning and talk about some. :) I've never had the dreams that make me laugh. But if anything, I find myself saying this particular quote from a favorite game of mine: "I don't know whether to be relieved or incredibly disappointed."

Just had another weird dream. I think I was talking in my sleep and I woke up at exactly a minute before 7:00AM, which is the time I usually wake up today. I had a dream where I was in this strange but really nice looking mansion. Very high end stuff. I was inside there with a bunch of people, but there was this one particular dude that I kept seeing. That "dude" kind of looked like Jorge Garcia (Hugo from Lost.) There was a series of events that played over and over again, but something slightly different would happen each time. At the end of the scenario I would be back in the same room and then events would begin to unfold again in the exact same way until a certain point. One scenario was a happy one that ended in a high five with me and the dude. Forgot why. Another ended with me becoming outraged and telling him to get out. The third concluded with me calling the police; he got arrested. The last one ended with him getting shot by another friend in the dream by accident, in a search for some evildoer who invaded the mansion. The evildoer was eventually killed but not before I scrambled to my big friend's side before his death. I forgot exactly what he said, but as the sirens started filling the air from the outside, I woke up. Dreams are weird and interesting. What is my mind thinking...

1. We to eat food to survive. 2. We have no food. 3. When someone dies, we eat them for nourishment. Is that really "good?" To you and me, probably not. Good in the fact that being correct is relative? Sure. Morals need logic but can't be entirely so. This wasn't my initial impression of "good" but in this context you're right.

Here's one I vividly remember (TC should at least contribute, right?) This one is a combination of first and third person...possibly. --- copy paste from a PM --- Once had a dream where I was looking through the eyes of some excavation team inside some dark cave. The cave was very big and had water dripping from the ceiling; light was shining through certain, small cracks and was very deep. I climb down some ladder going into the cave, like one might do going down a manhole. I saw a lab table straight ahead and a bunch of crazy chemicals and tools I had never seen before. To the right was a dead end. To the left was a long tunnel. I look down the tunnel as I hear the chatter of other excavators and I see lots and lots of blood-strewn corpses. There are more lab tables farther down. Then I switch perspective. Suddenly I'm looking from behind a rock on the dead end side. I see a strange male figure escorting some weirdo dark angel girl who looks pretty beat up. And they are walking down deeper into the cave, away from the lab table I saw. Then after that I'm in someone else's shoes. Again. Suddenly I'm a scientist in the lab...or something. I see the dark angel girl again on the ground and I rush over, but she dies as I get there. There is purple blood, which I thought was kinda cool and creepy. Flash again. I'm working with three other people at the lab table. But they look and sound like my parents and my younger brother. There is a bright glowing yellow/orange object in the middle of the table. It is spherical and levitating but has some 6 digit code. We are apparently looking for the code and trying out what the hell it is. Then I look at my hand and I see the purple blood from the dark angel girl and then suddenly a ton of thoughts start coursing through me. I then see what I already saw from the dead end / escort scene again and I also see it from the girls perspective. There are lots of flashes of color and light but I also see some sort of strange code. Not binary code or anything, but just some random slur of numbers. (I actually wrote it down when I woke up, hopefully trying to figure out WTF was going on with me but never really found out.) But that slur of numbers was 6 digits. So then I exclaimed that I thought I had found something and tried to put that weird code in. Turns out the code did something after all. The orb starts shining brighter and brighter to the point where it starts shaking violently. The cave begins to collapse and things are getting freaky. Lots of screaming, yelling. Then for some reason, it hits me that this thing is going to explode and kill all of us if someone doesn't touch it and take his/her own life. So I grab it and start running to the ladder. The rumbling of the cave stops. But then I look at my own hands to see that the orb is gone and my flesh starts melting away, revealing some bright light inside. (It looked kind of like Agent Smith from the end of the Matrix when Neo blows him up by going inside him.) So I'm yelling at that point and as the light engulfs me, I wake up in a sweat. That dream was like...in the summer time? I've had lots of other weird dreams too. I tend to remember all my dreams crystal clear and thats one of them.

Codes of honor are based on a particular community's morals. So you are saying morals are logical?

If you wish to share those dreams with inappropriate/adult content you can, but I suppose put them in spoiler tags to keep things safe and give us the heads up. Hmm. In contrast I dream in color and in the first person.

Recently BlueDanube and I were talking about dreams after he said "sweet dreams." BD claimed he was "too busy" to make such a topic on the subject so here I am. We spend a good portion of our life sleeping. Basically, one can simply say we do for almost half of the day. So, care to share any dreams you've had in your sleep and remember? I do realize dreams are often a recollection of the day's events and can be personal; you be the judge on how much to share. Funny, scary or just plain weird, it'd be cool to hear some.

As someone who is looking into the engineering profession, the topic of honor codes and systems were brought up. I don't want to say too much so we can all debate about this and after all, the idea of honor codes should be a fairly easy one to grasp: An honor code or honor system is a set of rules or principles governing a community based on a set of rules or ideals that define what constitutes honorable behavior within that community. The use of an honor code depends on the idea that people (at least within the community) can be trusted to act honorably. Those who are in violation of the honor code can be subject to various sanctions, including expulsion from the institution. Honor codes are most commonly used in the United States to deter academic dishonesty. ~Wikipedia But here is the question: do we really need honor codes and systems? Do they really work and motivate us to work productively and honestly, or maybe not so much? Or even not at all? Sure got a kick out of the two hour debate on this today since the sparks were flying everywhere; I would like to see some intellectual minds duke it out here. :)

One million reasons why life is worth living
AliasTheory replied to Keanumoreira's topic in Off-Topic
I say your words are true. But I don't think anyone can truly understand until something of the sort happens to himself/herself. It needs to happen some time, and such events are how I think we truly learn. Everyone should be thankful for every day we wake up to. Others are not so fortunate. -

You guys know what's awesome up here in California? http://www.thehat.com/ Never could have eaten that back in Hawaii. Sandwiches are so tasty. They're like an edible heart-attack though.

Um. Okay. Thanks a lot for the writing commentary but everything else... PMed you about it. :P Read more carefully. For everyone else, yes, the intention was to forge an incredibly chaotic scene. It's the damn Wasteland. D:

WAIT A MINUTE...I just realized something. Where is Pizza Hut? There needs to be a pizza place on there. D: I went to Chicago on a business trip with my father. I ended up just checking out a lot of stuff myself since he was out the entire day. I did eat a Chicago-style hot dog (big bun and lots of meat, relish, mustard, onions and no ketchup,) and some deep-dish pizza. I could only eat two slices of that pizza...it was quite awesome. But it made me have to go to the bathroom an hour later. The next day, because it was so awesome, I had more. There's a lot of good places to eat up there...but yep, those sure beat any fast food. Basically anything does...that isn't a steaming pile of garbage. Or more fast food. (A bit off topic, but Transformers 3 was being filmed when I was up there. They set up explosives. :D)

Thanks for the comment Keanu. I don't know why you are choosing to "retire" from writing here, but that's certainly your decision and not mine. ;) Thanks a bunch visitors and readers for helping me hit the 1K mark! You're all awesome. I never expected much out of this on these forums, and I never expected to evolve this story on such a magnitude. As someone who thinks he is far stronger in the math and sciences, it is good to see my writing goes appreciated by many of you. And I guess that goes for pictures as well. :D In the future I ask for writing critique and less purely general positive talk. I like to improve. Also point out grammatical errors, spelling errors and spacing errors. Some of those evil scum escape my perfectionism. Will keep writing on though. Still no progress on the next part yet...maybe by next week Monday I'll have something. Too much crap to do.
