I'm curious how many of you chose which ending? I've personally played through each of the four general storylines and I personally like the NCR ending the best.

Okay, I'm doing some basic editing in NifSkope for a personal use mod and I resized, re-angled and re-aligned a mass effect mask to stick to a reinforced chinese stealth helmet but when I equip the helmet (with the mask attached) the mask part of the mesh still has the original size, shape and angle and none of the edits that I did have stuck but when I look at the helmet mesh in NifSkope all the changes I've made are there. Anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

I need some help. My New Vegas is crashing every few minutes for no apparent reason whatsoever. I am using the New Vegas 3GB Enabler, New Vegas Stutter Remover, NVSE Beta 6 and FOMM. Below is a copy of my load order. Can someone please help me figure out what is wrong with my game and why it keeps crashing?

Okay, I have an idea for a what I think is a really great mod. The purpose of the mod is to own property and businesses throughout the Mojave Wasteland and you can rent property out to make some extra money or you can keep it for yourself to stay in. Businesses would give you a percentage of their profits.
Property you can purchase, rent out and collect income from:
Hotel rooms within the Casinos. You cannot actually purchase the casinos but you can collect income from them after completing certain storyline missions.
Houses and business in Goodsprings, Primm, Novac and Boulder City.
Other various abandoned structures throughout the Mojave Wasteland i.e. Nipton, Goodsprings Gas Station, El Dorado, Gas & Service, Poseidon Gas Station and the El Rey Motel
The Lucky 38 after you've killed/disabled Mr. House
The Tops after you've dealt with Benny
Gommorah after you've dealt with Big Sal and Nero
The Ultra-Luxe after you've dealt with the cannibals
Properties which you have purchased and opened for business with become populated. Gas Stations and Motels will have vendors which will sell a variety of goods. Motels will serve Food, Drinks and Aid items. Gas Station attendants will sell Misc. Items, Food, Drinks and Aid items.
When you encounter a property to purchase that is already inhabited by squatters i.e. El Rey Motel, you will either have to pass a speech check to talk them into leaving or moving into a room or if you don't mind taking a loss to your karma you can kill them. After you have cleared out the squatters you can purchase the property but it is still not able to be lived in. You will have to either gather a massive amount of misc materiels i.e. scrap metal, scrap electronics. to repair the place and prepare it for inhabitants. You will also have to pay contractors to do the repair work for you so there is a constant maintenance fee you will have to pay. You can adjust the rent/taxes per room/business and can choose to collect rent daily, weekly or monthly.
Unfortunately I have no scripting experience so I would never be able to actually do this mod. I understand that this is a massive undertaking but it one mod that I think that many people would enjoy and it would bring a unique game play experience to New Vegas.

Alright, well this is starting to sound more complex than my current skill level is able to perform. If any of you guys know how to do it or know of someone else who is able to would you please see if they can actually make a mod for this. I would really like to see it.

Yeah, I wanted to make a unique weapon that uses a rare ammo type (fission batteries) and the only person/creature it would damage are holograms but I have no idea how to do that. If someone could show me how to do that I'll create it and release it myself.

Okay. I'm pretty sure most of us hate the fact that the holograms are indestructible and it's damn near impossible to sneak past them. I personally have been killed by them over a dozen time with a sneak skill of 100 while using a stealth boy and Project Nevada's stealth field nanobots. So I went into the GECK to turn off the essential tag but wouldn't you know it, it's greyed out and won't let me untick their essential tag. So I tried using the console codes to disable them and wouldn't you know it works like a charm. However, I really don't like the idea of cheating so I want to make a weapon that will fire a rare ammo type (probably going to try to use Fission Batteries as ammo) and when the bullet or projectile impacts with the hologram it deletes them (similar to the console disable command). There's only one problem, I don't know how to write a script for something like that. Is there anybody here who can give me a hand?

Okay, on the first step you say to pick two different shades of the color that I'll be using for my camo... How do I do that?

Thank you. I've been searching everywhere for beginners tutorials and I haven't found anything yet. At least not anything that can help me with what I'm specifically doing.

@TehBuddha: I tried your method and it seems to work a little better but the problem is the texture I'm trying to modify is 4096X4096 and the texture that I'm taking the camo pattern from is 1024X1024 (and of that I can only use a 190X190 square peice) so I get a lot of little squares and the shadows are no longer there. Is there kind of a cheap/fast way of doing it or am I going to have to learn how to repaint the image?

I need some help re-texturing a set of armor.. I'm trying to re-texture this mod: http://www.fallout3n...ile.php?id=9520 in a variety of Digital Camouflage textures. I want to make multiple texture sets similar to the DragonSkin Tactical Outfit mod: http://newvegasnexus...le.php?id=36152. I've managed to open the texture files with Photoshop CS5 but I can't figure out how to change just the ACU camouflage part other camouflage textures. Can anyone out there give me a little help?

Okay, so yesterday everything was working fine. Today, when I launched New Vegas for no reason at all (no new mods have been loaded, load order hasn't changed and I have not edited any files associated with New Vegas) the keyboard and mouse no longer respond and the main menu won't load up. It will show the background screen and the main music will play but the buttons, New Game, Load, Continue, etc..., no longer show up. Anyone, know how ot fix this short of re-installing New Vegas?

Is it possible to install a second copy of Fallout New Vegas in a different directory? My room mate and I play New Vegas on my Steam account but I mostly mod mine for more of a FPS feel and he mods his for more of an RPG feel. Obviously, this causes a lot of conflicts. I was wanting to know if there was a way I could have a second installation that each of us could play. With Fallout 3, this was fairly easy, all I had to do was just copy the Bethesda file from Program Files (x86) to the regular Program Files. I'm thinking this won't be as easy since New Vegas runs on Steam. Does anyone know of any way to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah. I understand what you guys are talking about. I even managed to make a couple of new ones working but editing the one LeveledItem that contained the M14 still produced no results. The NCR troops that have it are still walking around with it in their inventory and they're still carrying around .303 british ammo instead of the .308 ammo.

Open FOMM. Open the Tools tab. Click on Archive Invalidated if it is activated then deactivate it and then immediately re-activate it. I had a similar problem before and that fixed it for me.

I highly recommend FOOK:NV, Project Nevada, Animated Prostitution, Classic Fallout Weapons for New Vegas, CaliberX, Mo Beta and Ahzteks New Vegas Weapon Overhaul.

Try re-installing the clean pipboy mod again and see if that fixes it. If not try playing without Project Nevada, if your clean pipboy returns than it would be because of a conflict. Most likely with Project Nevada.

My opinion: That looks pretty awesome!! But do you think you could make the shoulder pads a little smaller? I understand that it's power armor but if it's built for stealth shouldn't the design try to minimize the individuals outline and overall mass (i.e. make the guy look smaller than he is)?

For 3D modeling the preferred program is Blender. You can download it here: http://www.blender.org/ and they have tutorial on their site found here: http://www.blender.org/education-help/tutorials/
As far as textures go most people use Photoshop but if you don't have it and don't have 600 bucks for it I've heard good things about a program called GIMP. You can find it here: http://www.gimp.org/

Alright, I have a unique set of armor that I've created for myself and there is a Machete strapped on the back and a pistol in a thigh holster as a part of the armor. Well, obviously, whenever I enter a casino and they take my weapons, the machete and pistol are still there because they are a part of the armor. How would I make a mod so that when I enter a casino and they take my weapons, they take the machete and pistol off of the armor? I know I would probably have to make a separate .nif file for the "casino friendly" armor and probably have to make a script for the armors to be switched out when they take my weapons but I have absolutely no idea how to make a script like that. Is there any advice/help you can offer me?
